Yep I understand, you mean the menu can find the esp on the local network, 👋,
And knowing that I’m connected to internet via hotspot mobile AP (lost in the mountains with no wired internet), I’m really impressed how well it works , again @Prb and @Leeful, all my respect, 🙏
I guess I’m quite lucky though, as even with my mobile AP , I can have my laptop, fire stick, PS4, esp S2 , connected at the same time, with fixed Ip adresses that never change.
What a relief with Esp mode 2 to not have to change wifi connection for jailbreak and internet on PS4
And, huumm, 🤔, the menu search for “something “ called espressif on the local network ? The mac adress ? How the menu knows the ip of the esp ?
[ESP MODE1] > Your PS4 WiFi network connection is connected to the ESP access point. = no internet connection.
[ESP MODE2] > Your PS4 WiFi or LAN network connection is connected to your Home network. = internet connection.
When you have entered the ssid and password of your home wifi in the esp settings page it gets and stores the IP of the esp in localStorage.
This localStorage value is then used by the menu to connect to the esp.
1. Connect yor PS4 to your home network with ALAzifs DNS settings so that you have an internet connection.
2. Clear webdata and cookies, go to prb123.ir/ps-phive/v3b/index.html and cache the menu.
3. When it is done caching, close the browser and then connect your PS4 to the ESP access point.
4. Open prb123.ir/ps-phive/v3b/index.html the browser again but keep repeatedly pressing X when the browser is loading before the "Running Webkit Exploit" appears and you will go to the ESP settings page.
5. Enter the ssid and password of your home wifi and check the "Connect to home WiFi" box then press the " Save Settings" button.
6. Wait for the ESP to reboot and reload the settings page. If it reboots correctly you should now see an ESP IP address =xx.xx.xx.xx next to the "Home Wifi Connection" title.
If it does not reload after rebooting the esp, reopen the browser and enter the ESP settings page again.
When you see the ESP IP address =xx.xx.xx.xx next to the "Home Wifi Connection" title you are all good.
7. Connect your PS4 back to your home network with AlAzifs DNS settings again and now PS-Phive! will be using [ESP MODE2] instead of [ESP MODE]
If you want to go back to using the regular [ESP MODE] just uncheck the "Connect to home WiFi" in the ESP settings page.

Thanks Leeful for this awesome tool, i setup the v2 recently and it was working fine. After setting up the v3, it seems my console thinks that there is no ESP connected to the console when doing the exploit, even tho I can access it through the wifi connection. Do you have any idea what can be causing this issue ?
I restarted multiple times and it seems to be when i connect to my lan when wanting to use ESP2 mode.
Esp mode 2 far better than esp mode 1.. esp mode 2 don't pressure very much on esp and success rate is highly than esp mode 1.. esp mode 2 is very light.. works so smoothly.. thanks @Leeful now I moved to esp mode 2...

It doesn't note anything, i tried multiple times by going in and out of the menu. In the end it just says "ESP32 not found" even tho its still plugged in the console.

Either the Home wifi SSID or password is wrong or maybe the esp is too far from your router.
If it successfully connects your esp to your home wifi it will show an ip address in the locations in the photo I posted.
Remeber the wifi range on the ESP is very poor. When you connect your PS4 to the esp access point it is a very short distance because the signal only has to reach between your ps4 and the esp device.
If you try and use [ESP MODE2] your esp device has to connect to your router.

Sometimes when I hit Ok after inserting USB Flash, screen goes black and then shows this error
"An Error has occured in the system software CE-36399-3"
also sometimes below error appears during waiting for loading WK
"The Page is not Responding. Do You Want to stop processing this page"
anyway to prevent this?
yes.
In v2 you basically do the wait time yourself.
The time from when you see the "USB Unsupported" popup to the time you decide when to press X is the wait time.
no.
If there is no USB drive plugged in it will just save them in the same folder on the PS4 but if you do have a USB drive plugged in it will save them to both the USB and the above mentioned folder on the ps4.
When restoring the backup it will restore the one from a usb if there is one or the internal one if there is no none found on the usb.
I decided to do it this way so that you always have the latest backup you made stored on the ps4 itself.
This way if you ever need to restore your database you dont have to worry about finding the USB you saved it on.
It is also good practice to get into the habbit of backing up your databases every time you make any changes to your PS4. eg. install or delete any pkg, pkg update or DLC or if you make/change any folders on your home screen.
I just flashing my esp32s2 with v3 bin file , can't open config page with PC chrome browser like usual
So , config page only can be open from console now ?

You can enter the ESP setup config page in 3 ways:
1. You can press X before the "running Webkit Exploit Messsage" appears.
Tip: If you are not fast enough to do this just keep repeatedly pressing X when you open the browser and the config page will load.
2. Use the ESP settings button in the PS-Phive! menu.
3. Go to prb123.ir/ps-phive/v3b/esp.html in your PS4 browser. (or your-pc-ip-address/esp.html if you are selfhosting)
