Also, Does anyone know What the other two Shin Megami tensei games will be? I know one is supposed to be a "Persona" game but the other one seems to just be a Shin Megami Tensei game...
Shin Megami Tensei (The game not the franchise).

Also, they better make a Super Smash Bros. title for the 3DS. If they do, I'll be a very happy prosecutor.

I think they've been pretty opposed to portable Smash Bros. games and I kinda see why. Smash Bros. is not nearly as fun unless you and your friends are huddled around a screen throwing down the beatdown. Having it on a handheld kinda ruins the feel of it. Plus if the 3DS feels anything like the DS then using all the buttons (shoulder buttons in particularly) will give people (me at least) massive handcramps.

Really, though I feel the line-up is kinda week. Sure, there's some great titles, but way too many of them are ports or remakes with little more done then "OOOOH IT'S IN 3D!" Where's an original Zelda title or an original Star Fox one? If I wanted to play Ocarina of Time and SF64, I'd blow off the N64 or load them in an emulator. Hell, buy them on the Wii Shop. Sure, they're portable, but they weren't even built to be portable games. It's something criticize the PSP for so much (making console-type games and not handheld-type ones) but these are rather straight-up console games (although SF64 seems plausible on the go). As for graphics, isn't it gameplay > graphics? And before you say "What about 3D!?", it falls under graphics. It's a visual aid just as much as higher resolution is.

Also, with everyone getting SSFIV, think about all the Street Pass opportunities

Interesting rant.

I'm actually thinking that Nintendo is trying to reel in old gamers and nostalgic fanboys into their system, and then they'll start releasing newer games.

You do not think ,at all, that any game has better gameplay like the controls?
How 'bout the people who never play this games?
Come on the portable is just coming out, give them time to shift more or completely change their focus from ds to 3DS.

And what?

Portable Smash Bros. can be just as fun, playing around with your friends at a park while playing other over wifi throwing down the beatdown

. The street pass can really go with SSB.

So consoles doesn't give you handcramps?

Ds has never given me any issues in that respect. The PSP, however, is a menace to my hands. Owowow!

Different strokes for different folks. I've never had much of a problem with either (though DS lite and DSi always felt too small to me). I love the feel and comfortableness of the fat DS, and the slim PSP. Though the PSP does tend to slip my grip more often, probably because it is round.

On topic:

This is weak? There are plenty of great titles here, which are obviously releasing now to tie us over while the system gets on its feet.

Agreed completely.

The gameplay is the same. The controls weren't broken in any of the games they're porting/remaking, so even if they control better I'm not gonna rush out to the store to buy them.

Who the fuck goes to a park to play Super Smash Bros. with their friends?

The DS gave me a lot of fucking handcramps if I had to use the shoulder buttons. I remember trying to play Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing on that thing and Jesus Christ, that's true pain for ya. It's even worse on FPS games. I mean the PSP ain't no cake walk but it's not as bad as the DS I'd say, even when using the analog nub and shoulder buttons. Maybe I just have odd hands.

Nobody.

Parks don't usually have TV's and power sockets.

When I said consoles I meant home consoles controllers, but after re-reading that seem irrelevant...

Hopefully it doesn't fell that way to you again.

What we need for that is... an artificial park!

If it was portable, I sure a like of people would and not just parks of course.

But why would you leave your house to go play SSB in a park? It makes no sense. That's like saying "I'm going to a hair salon to read magazines!" You go to a park to do stuff you should be doing in a park, like having a picnic or feeding the ducks or something. You don't go there, sit down, and play your portable SSB. It makes no sense. Odds are a home console version will be superior to a handheld version and half the fun is from punching your friends in the face when they pull off bullshit Meta Knight spam kills.

Meh, I don't mind playing alone or online with friends.

It might be a meeting place where you can punch your friends in the face!

You can do that stuff at the park and still play the portable console.

Plus that just one place/example ...

You can also punch your friends in the face in a volcano.

a portable version would attract a different audience
i dont think its logical to have a wii with you on an airplane or other places on the go
3ds version would make it logical for people who go on frequent trips and have other people with you
again, hard to carry a 55in tv in ur lap along with that battery to power it and the console and etc
lol

The release lineup is definitively weak, and on top of that, they did not manage on time with Internet Browser and eShop.

I mean, they've already had a perfectly working Opera on DS and DSi, using the same ARM architecture. How f---ing difficult is it to port it to 3DS, especially it uses the OpenGL standard to display graphics ?
