I call it One True Pain of a file to dump.
I have two hours reading the guide and my concern is injecting the amunand backup to the sysnand. Im not mentally ready to do it lol. After you inject it and it works everything is easy. You just restore the system to what it was before getting the file.

Yeah I heard that once you get the 2.1 FW working you are more than settled.
I would like to know if Aurora (Reinand MOD) did read my post about providing support for a 2.1 emunand.
That way we can check if the emunand patch worked by booting a 2.1 emunand instead of just going in blind.

If we had a way to boot a 2.1 emunand, we'll be brick-safe 100%
lmao! I'm going to use it in my signature if you don't mind!
Sure!
I would suggest adding "OTP" at the beggining of the post. :P

3 hours of work...give or take but hey it compiles :D do not do what I did and make sure you have a less.3dsx on your sd card root!

Its not really a good cross platform build setup..that aside if any major changes happen send me a pm ill throw the updates up. The build chain is just chilling on a local VM.

Personal tests have 100% success so far and thats about 10 boots. Where with the normal menuhax payload it was like 1 in 5 would boot.... N3ds 9.0u / 10.6Emu

That's what I mean. Why do you have to build it yourself? There should be downloads. It's not like the payloads are specific to individual 3DS systems.

Not exactly. You still have to update back to the firmware you were previously on, and even if you do get that, I'm pretty sure you can brick by running your compiled OTP through the hb menu (don't quote me on that though).

All having a 2.1 emunand will do is confirm that the emunand downgrade worked, it doesn't confirm that the dump itself isn't faulty (just make a few dumps and check it's checksums), and downgrading and updating using anything, even Decrypt9, will always have a chance of a brick no matter what. Nothing touching the NAND can be 100% brick proof afaik.

Why does this need to "build" at all? It's not a9lh, it's just a ninjhax payload which is text.
Personally I just fought with the build tools to make it work. What I did see though was that it was a mix of ARM assembly and C Code that sets up services and an execution environment for 3ds homebrew. So its more then just a magic text file with a sequence of bits. With that we write code that the compiler and assembler turn into the bin files for us because frankly doing it by hand is hard.

With that. The author no longer wants to build them for us him self because of issues that happened in this thread. People are ungrateful.
Where's the download?

Kinda like this. I almost did not post this soon as I saw it. Read the thread and have some respect we all do this because we can. Its for fun not for money :D Be respectful.

Also to back seat moderate a little. Can we jump back on topic? There are like 300 threads on a9hl and everything around it.

But I saw something about the author using ad.fly links in here earlier on, but there are no links in the OP except the source?

Yeah that was the issue.
Short story, people started nagging the user due to that, afterwards no more direct download links.

Ah, I see. Yeah, ad.fly links are annoying, but if you use a script blocker and know exactly what to enable, they're not that big of a deal.

Thank you for the compiled payloads. I am currently using the 2.6 paylodad. But saved this one on my pc. :)

:O Whats wrong?
I figured out my issue lmao
it has nothing to do with this though XD

In rxtools, I was dumping the nand files from sysnand to emunand, and, well, i accidentally did it backwards because I was in a hurry when I did it. So, I accidentally wiped my brother's sysnand (oops), and menuhax stopped working (because I got rid of it when i injected the emunand files into sysnand because i did it backwards), so i was like "TF EVERYTHING BROKE" but now it's fixed and my idiocy has been solved - I'll guess I'll just re-install the games I accidentally deleted... I hope he won't be mad about saves?

Thank you.. I'm using this one and it's failed on my first two attempts to boot my emunand :/

I'm on 10.6 rxTools emunand o3ds

Work nicely. Thank you for the hard work, and thank OP for such a nice project :) -- n3ds 9.1 JPN sysnand and 10.5 EUR emunand
