Hi!
I created an account just to say many thanks for this!! Installer works great, but also the configurable payloader works excellent!

I saw in the other thread that some people got their wii stuck while trying to autoload mocha instead of homebrew launcher. I had the same problem. You need to edit the Mocha config.ini and make sure you have
launchSysMenu=1

Or you could hold B-button and enter Mocha config and set it through there.

At least that fixed the problem for me.

Cheers,

Does anyone in here have the "/wiiu/apps/indexiine-installer/backup-index.html" to share with a dumb friend? I want to uninstall the indexiine, However, I no longer have the backup file. My Wii U version is 5.3.3U

Hello everyone,

I'm getting an error when running indexiine-installer, the iosu exploit succeeds then it prompts :

Error creating , src
Error opening , src
Error copying index.html to dev:/sys/title/0050030...
Exiting...

I tried running it in mocha v0.2 cfw, the same error occurs.

I also tried replacing the index.html through FTP but the remote site I get only shows my sd card directory, as if the internal storage wasn't mounted.

Therefore I think that the homebrews can't access the internal storage of my Wii U, even if I run them on custom firmware (I only tried mocha)

I tried both u.wiidb.de and wiiuexploit.xyz for the web exploits.
My Wii U firmware was 5.5.2E when I installed mocha and the homebrew channel, I tried updating to 5.5.4E without reinstalling anything and the problem persists.

If anyone has been getting the same problem and could help, I would be very glad.

Cheers

I installed indexiine but unfortunately my SD was locked, so, it applied the patch but didn't save any original index.htmt.... Now I want to uninstall it, but I have no original index to restore... Could anyone give me a copy of the original indes.html please? Thank you very much !!!

I didnt use my browser before installing new index.html with indexiine (apart from using the browser expolit once for installing haxchi). So its just an empty page

Code:
<html>
<head>
  <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, height=device-height, user-scalable=no">
</head>
</html>

I created a new release fixing this!
The backup file is now not overwritten. Thanks for pointing this out!

The payload is the same. Indexiine is only a slightly modified version of it.

will this work on EU consoles as the browser has different id number for EU & US consoles

ok thanks & i have 1 more thing to ask you since this thread does not mention it, do you still need to save a webpage using the mii channel method ?

no, I never did this (and also dont know what the mii channel method is)

edit:
for me it works 2 times out of 10, can i please ask what brand memory card do you use & how did you format it ?

You could try hosting the index html on your own local server and see if its more reliable (because for me it seems unlikely that the "memory card" [=sd/micro sd card] ?] is the issue ).
Self-hosting is quite easy with a pc or an android phone, as you can setup a super simple python web server [on android you can, e.g. install termux [free] and within termux the python pkg] for testing

Ensures you don't FUCK UP your web browser by not doing it right, basically is computer-less and human error free.... :3

Hi! Does this mean that there is no risk to softbrick/render browser useless with this? What happens if I (accidentally) remove the SD card and then launch the browser?

After reading both threads a couple of times, I'm still a bit confused...

1. Can I still use the browser for normal browsing?
2. If I choose to start the browser at startup (with CFW), how/when can I choose to browse normally?

you will lose the browser unless you uninstall Indexiine.
