Can anyone answer my question as to why the Gateway Time Machine is NOT working on my New 3DS when I DO have wi-fi enabled on both SysNAND and EmuNAND?

wtf? they want upgrade my (EUR o3dsXL) 9.2 to 10 then downgrade to 2.x ...
fuck this right in the Gateway 3DS Team dirty ASS.
GW's downgrader to 2.1 is unstable at 9.x, so if you're really going to use GW's installer I do recommend following their instructions properly.

Also how do I boot into gateway mode without a gateway card with a9lh

Trying to do sysnand

GW's downgrader to 2.1 is unstable at 9.x, so if you're really going to use GW's installer I do recommend following their instructions properly.

All downgrader tools (homebrew & GW) have a chance of fail with the black fatal error screen when downgrading from 9.x to 2.1 (due to the home menu title). Unless you know something I don't and someone found a way to fix this?

Hey Reecey, I'd still recommend emuNAND for 11.x - There's a few threads on users that upgraded their A9LH sysNAND to 11.x and lost some functionality. Ninty implemented a checks for title versions, so downgrading specific titles (NFIRM, etc.) is not possible any longer (unless devs already figured it out).

I don't think I'm going to use GW's implementation personally either, since atm it locks users into using ONLY their A9LH and down the road I may want to dual-boot into Luma, RXtools or something else. Right now I'm in a holding pattern until GW has a full release, and some of the temper's here get a better tutorial out on how we can do this properly for CFW and GW co-existing.
Thanks Maximilious. I was tossing it over whether to go through with it or not last night and tbh your right I didn't and I think it may of been for the best, I think I may stay with just the emunand based Gateway way on 11x, it seems to do the job!. I'm really not convinced about this A9LH method yet, also I was wandering say I went ahead with this method and installed it all on my systemnand, ready to go, but then I was thinking what happens if I want to sell my N3DS on to someone else or even pass it on to a family member, how do I go about putting it back to its original state cause surely it will be then installed as a Gateway only option 3DS on systemnand?

Just use plailects guide :/ gateways tm sorta sucks. Youre better of following the plaitect guide with a N3DS anyways.

If i install GW v4 i will be able to use dsiware on sysNAND (im using 11.0 sysNAND cloned from emuNAND). And... Its safe?

I think it's worth posting in this thread too: Gateway's 4.0b allows re-writing to FIRM, and I was able to successfully update to 9.2J (it says 9.1J) using profi200's SysUpdater in GW 4.0b SysNand Mode. Browserhax and menuhax work completely fine, and now I'm in the process of getting A9LH on the system.

So, will this guide let me keep my existing emuNAND?
The guide makes you do backups of everything so in the end you can have your emunand back to normal. Heck if you want you could follow where it wants you to move your emunand to your sysnand and you could have an updated sysnand with a9lh. Its all up to your preference. I didnt like the idea of an updated sysnand but eventually i did it. I just get a backup of my sysnand about every week or so. A9LH has brick "protection" because you can boot decrypt9 before the nand itself.
