well im planing on getting physical copy and i don't think it works for that plus any one with a cfw buying a game can add it to the title key list so atleast some one should be able to do it on the first day of the game

Maybe bacause... NOT ALWAYS WHEN GAMES ARE RELEASED THEY ARE RELEASED ON THE ESHOP TOO!
pokemon sun and moon in this case will be on the freeshop day one since its a more popular game some one just needs to buy it off day shop as soon as its out then get the keys from decypt 9 and upload them

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

does this work when the eshops down

Learn how to write please, you make my brain hurt.

eh idk why this can't get games day one all some one has to do is buy the game day 1 a game like sun and moon alot of people are going to be buying it and own a cfw 3ds then get the title keys with decrypt 9 put them on site that will only take a few mins plus that site could get a game before the release date if a shop breaks it and sells it early
Because even if FreeShop didn't have its custom cache for game data, the title key database does not accept encrypted title keys, since they can't be tested/confirmed working. The site accepts a decrypted title key, tests that it's legit, then the owner has to manually encrypt it and add the encrypted key himself. This takes time, but means every key on there is 100% guaranteed to be correct.

In regards to the site having games early because of broken street dates, that isn't true, carts don't have title keys, only eShop purchases. Early release of a game at a shop won't help with title keys at all.

I can't figure out how to get title keys off my system. Is there a tutorial somewhere?

is there any way from preventing halfway downloaded games from starting over due to 'Internet error'? i know the app is very much capable of suspending and restarting downloads, but i've been getting a bunch of those internet errors yesterday and today and the downloads just start over at 0%, which is quite the heavy blow on a slow connection with some of these games.
If you haven't done it already, you will probably want to decrease the the download buffer size (and/or increase HTTP timeout value) from the default 128KB if you have a slow download speed.

I will eventually add the ability to pause individual downloads (or whole queue). So when connection fails like that, it will just auto-pause it. If you get "Failed: Internet problem" message, that means it already retried a few times and it's just not working for some reason.

Am I supposed to upload my dectitlekeys.bin? Becuase that's the only tutorial it shows.

Look at the left side. It says get the file in Decrypt9->Titlekey Options->Titlekey Decrypt. Then put the file on your computer, click the browse button and find it, then click the Upload button. It may not work on an iPad, you'll have to have some way of getting the file onto it.

That's what those chaos site and iso site are for..

Don't really need those sites either when you have Freeshop. I don't mind the wait between day 1 release and when it's available on freeshop, I was just making a suggestion since the guy was stating he wanted to help get day 1 releases faster for us freeshop users

well, at that time, i was using my workplaces wifi and had rates upwards of 1400kb/s and got the error. later, at home, i had some downloads with 300-600kb/s but multiple breakups after 10, sometimes 50 or 70% like that.
i tried bigger/smaller buffers but usually, it seemed like that was really taking down dl speeds until i reset back to default. timeout upped too without any noticable changes.

but then, later that night, everything worked again. so it might be a problem with nintendos servers sometimes?

Noob question: can a game downloaded from freeshop to one 3DS be copied to the SD card of another hacked 3DS ? (for purpose of saving bandwidth)
(Both 3DS's legally own the game of course.)

I don't think so. They get installed to the 3DS folder which has encryption of some kind. You could use CIAngel instead, and get it to create a CIA file instead of installing directly.

Or try to install the cia by using the same movable.sed on both 3ds.
Use decrypt9 to dump and inject the movable.sed

Thanks, sounds like extra hassle so I will just grab it again from the freeshop. Kinda felt bad using bandwidth twice :P
