Hey there, friends! As most of you should know, I'm a Gateway user and never used Freeshop or anything like that, I just download cias and install them with BBM. Now I saw the new video and am I actually thrilled to try this myself (though I will wait until 2.0 is released). Now I have a few questions.

1. Is it safe? What are the chances of a ban or Nintendo suing me? (edit: it's in the OP)
2. Can I play other region's games on my GW emuNAND?
3. How do I install it? =D

PS: I'm not the normie type of guy you would expect me to be. I'm actually a neet, vegan and anti-capitalistic. ;) I have no friends but that's ok because honestly I don't want any.

First question is answered on OP.

I'm pretty sure GW emuNAND can run any game region because I know their cart can.

And you install it just like any other CIA file.

For the auto update keys URL, will I need to enter the url with "/downloadenc" or end the url at dot com?

It releases today?
I probably misunderstood:
Almost done. I told some beta testers last week I would send this out to them, but I found some bugs on my own and decided to fix all those first. I'll probably send it to you guys tomorrow.

Apparently the beta testers will get it today xD

I've been using the pre-built nightly builds and I've noticed some issues.

It freezes sometimes after you finish downloading.

It doesn't show all games installed on the 3DS.

EDIT:

I got TitleKeyUpdate to properly load up Eshop.

But after it says updating.. it opens up eshop and it says no title keys found.

No title keys found.
Make sure you have encTitleKeys.bin in your sdmc:/freeShop/ directory.

Hello. I'm sorry if it's been asked before, I've searched a bit and read the first and last pages of the thread but unless my understanding of English is to blame, I haven't found a way to update the downloaded games.

I've seen how to do it in the upcoming version, but I haven't been able to do much in the current version. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

Edit: Further reading seems to indicate it's not possible to update games in the live version of the program.

If the game is from your region, just update.
Otherwise you'll have to download the CIA from somewhere.
Or wait for the next version of freeShop.

I tried to, but it tells me I need to update the FW to do so.

Guess I'll just wait for the Freeshop update. Thanks for answering, mate.

@Stringer Bell, if you don't want to update, your situation is pretty much exactly what ctr-httpwn is for. You run it via *hax then return to the Home Menu and should be able to access web services that check for updates like the eShop or the quick-install updates directly in the menu. (The browser is an exception to this, it still won't work if it wasn't working already.)

If you can run freeShop you either have an EmuNAND or A9LH, so why don't you update?

I'm just really new to the scene and I bought an already modded N3DSXL so I don't want to mesh too much with it until I don't understand how to update properly and such. It's got an Emunand running Rei 10.5 as far as I know.

I'm going to give a read to ctr-httpwn, thanks for the suggestion!
