Okay, but but can you add the feature anyway to let us choose? Just like in the 1.4 version, FBI automatically detected the place to install the files but we still had the choice. I think people who have FBI (thus who have a CFW) are smart enough to know the difference between nand titles and sd titles.
There is absolutely no point, NAND titles will not work on the SD, and vice versa.

thanks @Steveice10
is it possible to put back the shortcut to launch network install? (Y)
are you planning to put a nice GUI with icons and buttons, like system settings style? the menu now looks like a file explorer and is kinda messy
but bugfixes and new features are priority, of course.

You can use the touchscreen to select items.

So... Any chance of what I said happening @Steveice10
I'll look into it.
Well actually I have some retail dev app that needs to be installed on NAND to work but FBI install them on SD, so they crash on load,
Your app probably isn't packed to work on NAND then. Among other things, you'll want the title ID category flags to have "system" set.

Yeah they don't have the system flag, so that's why FBI detect them as SD titles? I'll try to install them on NAND using the old FBI and see if they work.

FBI v2.1.0 has been released.

(...)
  • Fixed various other miscellaneous issues and possible glitches, overall improving stability.

Good thing I still have a 2.0.5! We all know how these "stability improvements" work out!

Just kidding. But I was trying to install a ~890MB .cia and first time it froze, second time the whole bottom screen went black (clock on top froze as well). Going to try the same with 2.1.0 and will report back.

@Steveice10 What happens if you freeze while in the middle of installing a .cia (to SD I presume); do you need to check your SD card for lost clusters etc? There was no alternative but to switch the n3DS off.

EDIT: with 2.1.0 no issues at all, including the ,cia I tried to install that failed (which was a "legit").
I did stop using 'install and delete' just used install. Don't know if that made the difference, but it's all good now.

That just happened to me, FBI 2.1.0. Froze in the middle of a CIA install.

This is NOT TRUE BY ANY MEANS. 90% of people in the 3DS section are plain fking stupid. No hard feelings and I don't try to insult anyone in here, but people have reportedly installed .CIA to NAND and get a black icon or something. You think just because they can use a file manager, that they are clever? topkek.

That's an under statement

If the user is using sysnand and has a9lh than the only way to run cia files is by installing them on the root of the sd. How else are you going to make cia files work on sysnand? By using magic?

Edit: magic sounds like a good name for a home brew app :)

I don't know what time it is in your country but you need sleep. [emoji14] Re-read what I said. Your comment has nothing to do with my comment or you're thinking it wrong.

hi,
i got fbi as inject in hs app. > https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-4-(Getting-the-OTP)
how can i update it ?
dump it again
generate FBI_inject_with_banner again
and inject?

BTW, whats th differnt between with banner and no banner?

Your best bet is to just go ahead and install the FBI cia with the injected FBI so that it is on your home screen.

If you are trying to keep a clean home screen for some weird reason them just follow the same steps you originally followed to inject it with the newer file.

Sorry biggest noob in history of existence here. So from the FBI and sockpile binaries, what exactly do we download from there, and where exactly do we put them?

You may be a NOOB, but you can read. ;) It's all here in this topic and/or on the forum.
