it does otherwise id be able to download updates from the us eshop to play online :l but doesnt work like that. i found a more roundabout solution already tho so eh.
The 3DS eShop blocks you from downloading any game update that doesn't match your console's region.

FBI has been updated to v1.4.3.
  • Revise overwrite feature to allow a workaround for installing tickets to continue to work.
  • Add N3DS Gateway ROP to MSET ROP installer.
Thanks for the update. What was the workaround? When I used the .3ds version to install the 1.4.3 CIA version, it installed without any message that it exists (I had 1.4.2 installed)

Also, small bug: Free space shows as zero for me in this version.

You can install updated CIAs without being prompted. You are only prompted when installing the same version or a lower version.

Are you sure about that? Cause that means you will get prompted when installing the same version of the CIA, which means the missing icons won't appear, which is the whole point of this revision as far as I understand

The change was, instead of checking if the title is installed and prompting to overwrite, it runs the install process and prompts for overwrite if it results in an "already exists" error. Any work around that worked before should work now.

Great! But when I updated from 1.4.2 to 1.4.3, shouldn't it have given me the title already exist screen as it usually does? Or is it now differentiating a version number?

Also, don't know know if you missed my post about a small bug I the new version. It shows the free space as 0.00 MB left

The "already exists" error generally doesn't seem to happen when the contents differ, i.e. for updates to FBI, so it won't prompt for overwrite.

What is it showing 0MB of free space for, NAND or SD? Also, through what version(s), CIA, 3DS, or 3DSX?

SD, but what I just noticed is that when you switch to NAND and back to SD it will display the proper free space.

It happens in .3ds and CIA. Never tried 3dsx but I assume it's there too

is there a possibility of other MSET ROP installer be supported? like rxtools for 9.2 (downgraded mset) or ropCustom.txt

I've got a question, I ran pastacfw on my 9.0 N3DSXL and ninjhax 1.1 and then went to FBI to install some legit CIAs (Luigi's Mansion and Fire Emblem Awakening). I started installing Fire Emblem, it was at 2% before I figured now I would have to wait for half an hour or so. I came back in 15 minutes to check up on it and the download failed and I had a message saying 'install failed!' with the reason being invalid signature. Anyone know what's going on? If it was an invalid signature error wouldn't it not even begin to install in the first place?

edit: weird, I installed some non-legit CIAs of the same games with FBI and they install just fine. Maybe it's the poster I'm getting them from, but I've already installed several legit CIAs from that same poster before with no problems. It seems weird that it would be a coincidence that these 2 legit CIAs are the only ones that are corrupted or something from that poster's collection...

What is the region and MD5 hash of the 2 legit CIAs giving you trouble.

The USA version of Luigi's Mansion should be: 4c84811601d18768b41a1a11d9ed6f0b
The USA version of Fire Emblem should be: 08fa7c57a682e49f869102084626f0f1

Both of these installed fine on several 3DS systems.

Yes mine are USA region. And whoaa, unless I'm reading it wrong the CIA files I got have much different MD5 hash values than the ones you posted. The poster posted them up himself, the MD5 values he got were:

USA version of Luigi's Mansion: 0B4CA7AD51AF019CF350553F27A55120
USA version of Fire Emblem: 4D4F6318372C27AC8EAD6F68A8421BA2

It's quite possible they are corrupted in some way.

I even took the ticket.db from the nand and let FunkyCIA2 download them and convert them to CIA and I get the same MD5 values as I posted above.

hi i'm getting install failed
could not install app
raw error: 0xd8e0806a
module: module_nn_am (0x20)
level: level_permanent (0x1b)
summary: summary_invalid_argument (0x7)
description: description_invalid_signature (0x6a)
the install reaches 98% then shows this error.
