I know but EFE can't save edited files (even if only the textures are edited) if the file contains skeletal animations, lights or other things.
EFE only supports models and textures.
Thanks for the info.

Edit - Can I Split up the model with textures from the skeleton then reimport it

Why do the 1% mock us? :wtf:

I don't understand how that statement is relevent. Both WinZip and WinRAR had trial versions that could be used for free with WinRAR not even enforcing their 30 day limit. So if that's the angle you were going for, it's completely invalid.

It was a joke, I have WinRar on my systems.

But, the average computer user have no idea that WinRar or WinZip exists, the OS does what they want. I would guess this makes up the the majority of computer users.

Yuck, WinRAR...
7-Zip is so much better!

I used 7-Zip to extract EFE, and that went without any problems.
Otherwise, you should go to the Properties of the ZIP File, and do this:

I'm trying to open some of MK8's .bflim files (specifically the ones for the GP final result images) but every time I try to load them in EFE I get this error: http://prntscr.com/9iqe76

As far as I know, the program has .bflim support, but does it not support .bflim files from Wii U games? I've opened other MK8 files with it before so I'm honestly not sure.

edit: nvm, I got a friend to help me, ignore this

Hey I cant seem to open .obj files with efe. They dont even show up in the open tab. Any help? (ps I also have the Common Files plugin already so I dont think it has to do with that.)
Thanks in advance!

What are you trying to make? For BCMDL, you will have to file --> New from file --> Nintendo 3DS plugin --> CTR Graphics (CGFX)

For editing OBJ's, use a 3d modelling program.

I am trying to get the kmp file for a custom mk7 track

Im trying to use that but I cant create the file
Then extract one from the MK7 Course file. It's Gxxx_Name.bcmdl in romfs/Course/

All you have to do is open it up in EFE, and then right click on the KMP and hit export.

I found out what was wrong sorry for wasting your time
That's ok, i have nothing better to do anyway.

When I try to Rebuild EFE in Visual Studio, the program just crashes.
Can someone give me the lastest version(of the 3rd of November 2015) or help me to build it ?

So, apparently this is the answer to the problem I was having with replacing textures in the file Tlp_Ev_c020.r.lz in Fire Emblem Awakening... Is there any known way to replace these textures with edited ones as of now, with any sort of program? Or am I out of luck? (Sorry I'm still learning.)

should work by hex editing
