Awesome! A dream come true able to coldboot CFW. Working for my N3DS XL 9.0E @ 99% success rate. Thanks Yellows8, steveice10, Brahma dev & others making this possible

Question. Is there a known method to be able to use Homebrew Launcher knowing that boot.3dsx has already been replaced?

You *could* open up the "menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin" file in the root of your SD card with a hex editor and replace all occurrences of "boot.3dsx" with something else, keeping boot.3dsx for other entrypoints.

I believe I mentioned this somewhere also but I can't find it

EDIT: found it :D

anyone who wants to have cakes and another hax can probably open the otherapp payload in a hex editor and search for boot.3dsx and name it something with the same amount of characters then install the regular hax and BAM best of both worlds :)

replaced boot.3dsx to cold.3dsx in "menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin" using HxD (i found 2 occurrence)
able to cold boot to CakesCFW

Then using BrowserHax from CakesCFW to boot Homebrew Launcher

but I noticed success rate in cold booting drop =(
manage to boot 1/5 after changing.
it was 5/5 before changing.

Top screen issue should be fixed, same link as before.
The screen is fixed but I keep having low bootrates. Now most times is getting stuck at black screen on both screens. I'll try the modified homemenuhax that work without pressing buttons to see if It fixes it.

Assuming it's at the part it was before, seems to be an issue with the ARM9 hax rather than libkhax.

Easiest thing to do is once you get everything working on system nand, backup the sd card and format emunand, unlink the nands and put everything back on and repeat again to get everything working on system nand. Once done all you need to do is update emunand
If at all possible, I'd like to keep sysNand stock and get everything running only through emuNand. Pipedream?

In that case would it be easier to fix or harder? Just tried with the no button pressing homemenuhax and still no luck. Sometime it takes more than 10 times to get to the cakes menu. I'm taking the battery off to reset faster.

Nope! the only thing that won't be "stock" is the DS profile info which can be reset by booting any DS game or flashcart

EDIT: also if you want GBA games those need to be installed on sysNAND along with the patched AGB_FIRM

I was thinking about this too. How do you manage to do this?
Is it possible to boot CFW w/o pressing button AND boot to sysnand while pressing 'L' button.
