Cakes is dead, you guys should switch to Luma3DS.
Why it's not? You know it works on EmuNAND too, right?
Because Luma3DS isn't the only CFW and because Corbenik is a far better replacement for CakesFW. Corbenik is actually a CakesFW inspired CFW, that borrows a lot of the ideas and setup as CakesFW.
Corbenik also works with 10 emuNANDS.

Also CakesFW isn't dead. It's dormant, but isn't dead.

We all want him back. I dont touched my CFW in months it works like a charm for everything. Gotta respect the good work and simplicity of this project.

Here's my Cakes setup for A9LH.
It uses Wolfvak's version with 11.1 kernels, and also uses Arm9Select to have Luma-like button mappings (X for D9, Y for GM9); patches that are a separate download in the last mid_kid version are also included

Get firmware using https://github.com/Wolfvak/CakesForeveryWan/blob/misc/firm_dl.py

Remember you must still use A9LH with screeninit (including any A9LH by AuroraWright with NAND boot, in which case leave it called arm9loaderhax_si.bin)

Only tested on O3DS

Sorry no .dat here, PC on which I do builds is 1 km away

This interest me. Do you plan on continuing CakesFW support? Or possibly adding more features to CakesFW?

"continuing support" as in future kernels is outside my skills, Wolfvak (for the core) and Aurora/TuxSH (for the injector) will, more or less directly, do that job

For less mainstream (or switchable) injector features, well I do have a private (due to laziness and gpl) variant of injector with patches selected by text files on SD but... you see, I haven't turned on any of my 3DSes in over a month (ok, yesterday but only to streetpass a friend and dump freeshop.cia)...

@Ryccardo can we have the .dat file to run all of this ?
y u no a9lh? that said an option is an option, so here it is - get the cakes folder from the zip posted above for a9lh

Hello,
I am a total noob. I use Cakes with two SD cards, but I'd like to have the third one. The second one I could manage somehow, but I forgot, so please help me.
First I copied all the content from the old SD card to the new one, so I could enter into the hax menu, meaning I could start Cakes. The message was failed to get the Emunand offsets.
So, I created the Emunand with the tool, erasing the card, after that I copied everything to the SD.
Now, the fail message disappeared, but after the CFW boot the old 3DS XL goes back to the Sysnand.
What do I do wrong?
Thanks
Thomas

Im still using the 1.38 stable and it boots to the game normally even when Im using the 9.6 native. I dont know how tho.
You need to download the 178 Nightly
http://ny1.hashbang.sh:8834/nightly/
And then download 11.0 Native_FIRM (firmware.bin.) I can't provide that though, but you can find it pretty easily on google
