for people who really want to play the new fire emblem you can buy it from the eshop or any local store
or go that iso site

or even open FBI and scan the damn QR code from the tile key site,it's very easy.
And what does this have to do with the release of the new version of freeshop?

Guess what follows after the new freeshop update? Custom Themes! We already have custom home menu and FBI themes, badges, boot animations, and splash screens! Love to see what custom themes for freeshop ensue....

That shouldn't be a problem, just don't include those files with the guide. (I am guessing nobody has released an easy to use certificate dumper in cia format yet)
True. It's merely that there is no certdumper that prevents me from doing this.

EDIT: It seems that the files are in a CFA file: https://3dbrew.org/wiki/ClCertA . Expect a guide sometime tomorrow! Unfortunately, this means that anyone who wants to host a cache will need to publicly (as in direct link) host the 3DS certificates. I'm not sure on the legality of distributing those files, so I'm not going to provide any URLs to them. You will also need an encTitlekeys.bin file, which as is rather publicly known also not legally distributable, so if you want to do Travis builds, I cannot help you with them as they require me to break the law and I don't do that.

Within regards to the shoptemp repo licensing: It's under the MIT with no year or author attached to it, meaning that if anyone modifies the cache to include more content, I guess they can relicense it to whatever they want (not that anyone will realistically go after them). IANAL of course.

EDIT2: well, this is interesting. It may be possible to encrypt these files. I'm not certain on how legal it is then.

EDIT3: NOPE. Still illegal. I guess if someone were to run a private server (like locally running both a gitlab instance and a travis instance) it could work, but that is unfeasible for the average user. Not gonna include how to set up Travis.

What do you think about the idea of releasing beta versions of freeShop?

There's already a closed beta conversation, I don't think I will release open beta because it would be harder to manage the thread with beta testers and normal users.

Nice, it's working great!
I only have a couple really tiny issues to bring up:
  • When you sleep download an app and freeShop sleep-downloads the DLC with it, it leaves an icon for the DLC on the Home Menu until you reboot (or try to open the DLC from the Home Menu, which causes it to show the "SD card removed" screen and reboot the system).
  • The "Play eShop music" option still doesn't loop at the defined loop point in the song.
Other than that, it's working quite nicely! Thanks for the update!

for some reason i cant download the games i have the title key off they show up and i can update the once that need a update but i cant download any games it just failes as a que one too download

UPDATE: I had to reboot my 3DS that fixed the problem i was having
