Since you have a 2ds I recommend you install 3.3. Download this here and you can choose which cia you want. I'd recommend the autoexit version since after you run NTR it automatically exits out of NTR. And place NTR.bin on the root of the SD card.
You install the .cia with your preferred cia installer like FBI, devemenu etc.
Or he can just install my version:
- Choose the version you want to launch
- Decreased boot time
:p

Does yours autoexit too? I need to update mine but it's not needed for me because I'm sticking on 3.3 :P
unless they release screen capturing for old3ds

Yep, it auto exit if you don't have any errors. :)

You can also use my other version, it'll load only one ntr.bin (like the official) but faster. ;)

Works great :) Also check my reply, I sent a banner I'd like you to see ;)

For player 2-4 text2item + duplication, should I make a new cheat for them? Or just write to everyone's pockets with this?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

For example if I type 2112 everyone will have bells in their pocket

I think the ability to choose what players pockets to write to would be better instead of writing to everybody's pockets so you can only give certain players certain items, etc

I'm having some trouble getting the plugin to work. Specifically, the cheat menu option won't show up, even though I've triple checked to make sure I've got the cheat plugin in the right place. Is there something else I'm missing, or am I just being dumb?
I've got the plugin like so SD:\plugin\0004000000086300\cheat.plg
I'm also using NTR 3.4 and I've tried NTR 3.3 to see if that would work, but no dice. Some help would be much appreciated!

@itsRyan
what i think: all cheats should only affect the currect active local player

or...
[enable cheat]
-p1
-p2
-p3
-p4
---------
all other cheats

(im not sure if p1~p4 should only activated once at a time or enabling all 4 will cause online players to be affected? rather not i think)

[enable cheat] for said player will use the placeholder hexs for said player (all cheats might need a change)

as an example (to be honest i dont know how the cheats are written)
enable cheats (value xxxx)
p1 0101
p2 0202
p3 0303
p4 0404

enable moon jump for [xxxx]

1. What region of ACNL are you using?
2. Why did you rename the cheat? Is this the latest version?
3. Did you press select at the ACNL title screen or indoors? You don't enable the cheatmenu using the regular NTR menu.
4. Did you thoroughly read the How to Install?

Well, now I feel stupid... I actually did read the How to Install, but I completely forgot about pressing select at title screen/indoors. I got it to work now, thanks for your help!

So anyways, I had gotten (some) 3DS homebrew knowledge about what everything is, installed one of those fancy exploits (particularly SmileHAX) and eventually heard that installing CFW (Custom FirmWare) could possibly brick your system. Would it just work with the homebrew browser thing or do I absolutely have to get the CFM?

You have to get CFW (which stands short for Custom Firmware). This means that you'll have to downgrade. This is the best guide to do that.

But if I downgrade, wouldn't a bunch of features be lost such as: badges, themes, amiibo, ect.? (I'm not really sure which ones were added to which update, though.)

The whole point of downgrading is to downgrade to an exploitable firmware, and then from there, install an emulated NAND (basically a clone of your 3DS's OS) and then upgrade the emulated NAND back to the latest update.

Sorry to bother again, but I can't for the life of me get the Text-To-Item code to work. I'm trying to give myself a perfect apple, but whenever I type 200E and hit X+ D-Pad Right, nothing seems to happen in my Slot 1.

Hmm... weird. I'll test that out later. For now try 2025 which is a perfect apple basket

A few hours ago, I found I had to actually post the message, then do the button combo.

Did you send the message and then press the button combo?

Tried it, still didn't work.

I also tried this combination, with no luck.

I am indeed sending the message, then pressing the button combo. Do I perhaps have to be outside to use the code?
