Maybe someone will be able to help me out, since Huntereb went sleep (and he helped me greatly so far :D).
I edited my RomFS, repacked it, now I repacked the rom and it shows up fine in the rom loader as well as the 3ds menu once I load the rom.
But when I start it, I get the "error occured, hold power down bla bla..." message.
I probably am doing something wrong, possibly with the RSF file.
Do I need to change anything other than Title and ProductCode in the RSF file?

Another question, how do I go about EDITING (not making a new one) existing logo banner?

Hey guys but with thos decryptions, is possible only text and model hack or also a value mod like ammo, money etc? (with an hex editor)

What rom are you editing, Canzah?
You can try this crappy thing I made:
http://d.maxfile.ro/kbnubo.zip

It allows you to inject the original exheader into the repacked rom. If it works as it should, it will fix your rom.

Shin Megami Tensei 4 (US), made an undub (Japanese voices).
Going to try your tool for now, but I hope someone can provide a proper solution, also so I can edit the logo banner.

Edit:
Your tool doesn't work, piratesephiroth.
Now when I choose the from from Gateway's rom loader it doesn't even show up in 3DS's menu.

Some games use special services and won't work with RSF files alone in makerom. For that purpose makerom has built-in settings templates but even those won't solve the problem with recent games, since it isn't being updated anymore and new templates for new firmware versions aren't being added.

My tool allows you to use the decrypted exheader from the original in your repacked one, so all the proper setings will be transfered automatically.

Your link is blocked by kaspersky. Can you use a different file host? Maybe anonfiles?

SciresM said he was supposed to get the game early but lets see who's faster.. him or BBB.. come place ya bets =)

;)
Will we get a nice trainer data and encounter data editor before the release of Ruby/Sapphire? :D

For R/S specifically, I mean.
Status update: RSTE is fully functional. Reads ORAS trainer format, saves back flawlessly.

RSWE...is semi-functional. Reads data perfectly fine. Writing is way more complicated in ORAS than in x/y due to expanded ZO structure, and dual storage in a .EN pack. It's a WIP.

There's not much point in posting RSWE right now because only like 11 maps are in the demo, hex editing works fine, and all the map names were stubbed to "Littleroot Town" to prevent datamining.

Similarly, some trainer names were stubbed out. I might post RSTE anyway, but I'll have to update both programs once I have access to a proper ORAS dump (preferably one of my own). TBD. I will post both programs on the PPorg forums as soon as I have ORAS's files, regardless of what I post before then.

(If you're trying to hex edit demo wilds, reminder that https://github.com/SciresM/XYWE is open source. The slot numbers are different (ORAS has no flowers, and has swarm pokemon data) but the parseslot() method works the same way. The island that you see me battling edited stuff in in all my videos is map ID#207.)

WTF THIS THING IS STILL BROKEN! If the rom shows up in Gateway's menu but doesn't get loaded in the Home menu, the exheader was properly inserted but the hashes weren't fixed.

Open the repacked rom in a hex editor and fix the exheader hashes yourself. They are at 0x1160 and 0x4160.

Open you original rom in 3DSExplorer, select the main partition , 'extended header hash' (you can copy the value by double clicking the line).

I'll try to fix this crap again...

I suppose this one works everywhere.

How can we build this for use with GW ROP? A noob friendly instruction would be nice. I tried using snailface's Msetforboss.dat (replaced everything correctly, got the crc32 as e08f7ec5) and when I loaded it, I got a "nothing to do"

If you have DevkitPro, python and openssl and set up everything correctly (be sure to restart Explorer before running, that was my mistake), you can build it fine and by default it makes both an MsetforBoss.dat and a GW Launcher.dat.

Any idea on how to set up the build environment?
