Homebrew Discussion REINX crashes when i try to play PPSSPP

I tried to play the PPSSPP on RetroArch but everytime i load a game it keeps on crashing? searched google and couldnt find anything. Any Fixes or am i doing something wrong ?

download & install homebrew menu from nsp file and it will work

woah - no need to be hostile.

That said, OP - Make sure you are running HBM/HBL with Full RAM. An NSP may or may not fix this, but I am on Atmosphere so.

Thank you for the advice. So it launches the game but the game crashes when the Psp memory card pops up

You need to install the PPSSPP Assets. https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp


Take the *contents* of the assets folder in that github repo and put it in sd:/retroarch/cores/system/PPSSPP (or systems, IDR)

Just so you know, MelonDS doesn't run well yet, it's "playable" with RPG style games, but don't expect Mario Kart or the like to work well.

You will need to rename the bin files per MelonDS's README. but yea

Question , does the switch not have the hardware to run psp , nds and ps1 games at full capacity? Or is it that we’re still in the early stages of modding and emulators ? Because I’ll like to think that the switch should be able to run N64 , PSP , NDS PS1 games with no hiccups

Overclock to 1582 in RA and you will get 60FPS in about IDK like 60% or more in PSP games. PS1 runs fine on stock and N64 is hit or miss (due to some driver missing for homebrew I think)
PSP Games I've tried that play at 100% or near 100%:

Kingdom Hearts BBS
GTA VC,LC,CT
MGSPW
About 90% of the PSP Minis collection works well
Assassins Creeed work with a save state to get past main menu
Little Big Planet
Phantasy Star Portable 1/2
Star Wars Battlefront Elite
THUG2 Remix

N64 Games that run 100% for me:
Super Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Extreme-G X2
Star Fox 64

(Though I have not tried more than this!)

PSX Games that work well for me (PSP EBOOTS or ISO):
All Crash Bandicoot series (Did not test the kart racer)
Marvel Super Heros
Metal Gear Solid
Spyro Series
Street Fighter
THPS 1-4
FFVII of course as well.

Though many many many more work 100% I only listed what i have personally tested.

Other Notes:
If you use Linux4Tegra (Search the Switch forums) That has better compatibility with games, but requires it's own whole setup.

Retroarch does support this, though I have never been able to get it to work properly (Probably was doing it wrong tbh) I think the setting in RA is called like Split Joycon mode or something like that.

so it still crashes ill take a beter look later but idk why its crash also im trying to switch my HB menu to change to holding R with REINX but i cant figure it out

Try kosmos,i had trouble with reinx
Kosmos fixed all that

When did you try that last? Because there was a weird bug for a version or two that should be fixed now in kosmos.

literally last week AMS 0.8.9 didnt let me install NSP i switched over to REINX and it let me install NSP and XCI
