I am also noticing I don't have certain sprites I need. I can't find star coins, a checkpoint, or a flag and exit house. Where are they at??
Same tab as enemies, change the selection box to Platforms and Hazards
Star Coin is under "Coins and Blocks"
The rest under "Level Mechanics"

Star Coin is actually under both, as well as being in the Events section.

And yes, the search function is really good once you start knowing the sprite names.

well most of them are what you would expect, e.g. type cloud and you get the light cloud area (among other things with cloud in the name)

Custom script for the file depot. Forums use a modified phpBB.
Ahh...
Too bad...
I have been looking for a similar script for quite a while now.

EDIT: BTW that script could get you pretty popular in the phpbb scene yknow

Not interested in releasing it. I'd like to keep it private for our use only.

The flagpole is very gay. I tried to make a vertical level and the flagpole is at the bottom. It creates an invisible barrier that you cannot pass ( I can't tell how high it goes). But moving the flagpole over resolved the issue. My area 2 is very buggy on dolphin. probably just an emulation issue.

Unfortunately the flagpole issue is true. There's a certain height limit on it, I believe, or it stops at the zone border, one of the two. Either way, the best option is to have the flagpole in its own room, like how Nintendo does it most of the time.

As for Area 2 being buggy, not sure what to say. Check the level options, or import an Area 2 from another level as a base?

Hmm... The reggie is not recognizing the stage files...
It says "This file doesn't seem to be a valid level"
These are being ripped directly out the iso and IDK whats wrong with them..

Looks great

You guys might want to rethink your high and mighty anti piracy stance though, as you are distributing a LOT of copyright artwork.

Anyway, can't wait to do some edit of some levels

Not sure what to tell you other than "It's not supported."

I used the Reggie dumper it worked just fine, and it reads my files just fine.

Isn't that the reason why you need the textures? I'm pretty sure Reggie does not come with any artwork. But maybe I'm wrong.

I mean on this site : http://rvlution.net

There are copyright images used without permission, even viewing the site downloads them.

Well unless Nintendo decide to put them in the public domain, or they got permission.

You can't use a characters image (or even recognizable likeness) from a game without permission unless it falls under the "fair use" laws, which this doesn't.

Even if you do an ORIGINAL artwork of a character it's illegal unless you use it for "commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching or scholarship"

So having copyright artwork, or even a "likeness" of a character without it meeting these conditions is illegal in the US, UK etc etc etc

Take for example my avatar, the monkey is from family guy. I can use it because the picture was public domain, if it wasn't then technically it would be illegal.

WiiPower once had some artwork for neogamma with "hulk" in it, he decided to drop that as he thought it was illegal, however it actually turned out to be a public domain picture ironically

Now say for example I hand sketch Mario, if you look at it and you know it's Mario (likeness) then that's illegal in many countries unless I'm using it for educational purposes, advertising, news etc etc. Even though I drew it myself. I can keep it to myself though, but the minute I use it to promote a product, site, service or anything I'm breaking the law (unless it's "fair use")

I don't need to explain more we all have the internet and can read more if interested, I only pointed it out because I thought it was ironic and quite funny tbh.

Linking to the site is actually against gbatemp rules (I think) Not that I care myself except for the lols

gbatemp doesn't use a character (or likeness) in it's log for this reason I suspect but is free to use the original artwork in reviews etc. Also gbatemp is not responsible or liable for peoples avatars either.

Anyway...lol

(still a great app though)

Textures is how we obtain the Tileset data that Reggie! uses. At most, something could be said for the screenshots of platforms and enemies, I guess? *Shrugs*

Just one question, how long should Reggie's dumper app take to dump ALL the files? I selected the entire disc option.

Edit: You know what Riivolution will also be good for? Texture Hacking Mario Kart Wii, and will be good for creating custom courses too.

NO MORE USB LOADER!

When I was testing it, the full disc took about 30 minutes, maybe a little less. It took a lot of time once it reached "Object"

Well I'm at the "reggie/Effect" stage, and its been like that for a little bit of time. (

Some people had trouble with the full disc dumping, try the minimal option. It will give you all the files you need for Reggie, but nothing else.
