Hacking Reformatting a 360 HDD back to stock

Long story short, I formatted a drive I took out of an original FAT 360, used it other stuff, and now I want to reformat it back to use in my 360, is there any way to do this? It was a Hitachi drive and not a WD Drive

Try running HDDHackr and see if you can inject the correct security sector for the drive.
Technically seeing, it is a drive that MS supplied with the console, it just misses the security sector.

Attempted this before over USB, then SATA with different computers on two different HDDs - I never managed to get past the hex editing part - this never seemed to actually write to the drive, but here's a tutorial for this.

I was always able to backup sectors, never restore however.
