QUOTE said:
We’ve released a beta version of redsn0w for the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at FW 4.1 or 4.0. It uses the same pwnage2 DFU-mode exploit that we’ve been using since the 2.x days. It does not include the SHAtter exploit developed by pod2g. Nothing new is revealed to Apple with this jailbreak.

This BETA release supports:
  • iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G only (for now)
  • Mac OS X x86 only (for now)
  • 4.1 or 4.0 firmware from Apple

Not sure it to just get rid of my iphone 3g and get 3gs instead of iphone4.
Quite a few are going back to 3gs from iphone 4

I wonder if this works with MC models. The MC models always get the bad luck. Edit: Nvm, works, just tethered.

when they come out with an untethered jb for 4.1 mc model, can someone let me know
I am pretty sure it will not be hard if you look in the correct places.
Or just check the blogs/twitter everyday :/

But when something like that comes you can be sure one of us will post it

well, what pisses me off is that everythin right now is tethered and needs a mac to run in the first place

Then be patient and wait like the rest of us?

The devs have lives (don't quote me on that)

They would rather release a polished and less buggy app then a buggy and risky app. what would you recommend?

And the dev's don't controll what exploits they find, do they?

Don't you think they want tethered ones? Do you think that they try to annoy you? If they choose what they found, everything would be un-teteherd.

Just be patient!

^they can choose whether to release a mac version instead of a windows version though can't they?!?!?!?
They code on macs. They're still testing the pc version!
Maybe they should release it before they iron out all tue bugs and brick your device? Sound like a plan?
They try to make it as less buggy as possible.

Be patient or get a mac
