Hacking Recommended Programs

What it says on the tin; what apps/programs/executables/packets of deliberately coded data are recommended, and where would one get them? I've visited Brewology, but found the descriptions for many downloads woefully lacking, and have had difficulty finding documentation for programs like SEN Enabler so I know what I'm doing.

Use Senenabler and not psnpatch since that one has been last updated .
