Played through the demo, loved it. Saved at the beginning of the last day, and I swear, played that final day 5 times before I met the first payment mark. Some customers are hardcore bitches with the haggling, mainly the old men.

Anyway, I love the game from what I played, but there's something about that $20 price tag that isn't doin' it for me... guess I'll be waiting a while for this to get slashed in half... I mean... the game DID teach me that much.

CAPITALISM HO! ... I won't be buying your game until a price drop.

20$ is too steep?
Lol piracy sure has made people cheap these days.
Uh, not true. I buy all of my games and even I think that this price tag is a little out of reach. I mean, I'm all for helping out the indie devs, but the it seems as if the same basic gameplay mechanics and setting is reused throughout the whole game, the production quality isn't that high (it IS an indie title), and there's no packaging going out... it's all digital. I don't see the reason for such a high price tag... maybe it's just going over my head...

Heard about the game here, finally remembered to try the demo yesterday. I loved the game, and bought it right then and there. Can't wait for Friday for this to unlock on Steam.

As for people complaining about the price, it's not too bad. It'll be a good game to start up in class or something if I get bored. Also:

But what makes me want to really purchase this game is that if this sells well (it is already I guess since it's at fookin #3), the guys who are localizing this would probably do more Japanese indie games.
Also, Japanese indie developers would see that there is a market for their games all over the world.

But if you buy it now it's $18! (That's 90% of the base price!)

Another reason the price could be so high is because the only reason they bothered doing this is because they couldn't find jobs due to a lack of "experience".

Ah yes I see how that impacts the quality of the game being well worth $20.

....

I'm being sarcastic if you didn't catch it.

I hate it when people compare prices to games that have been out for a long time and have had several price cuts.

It's a neat dungeon crawler, everything has unique attack patterns and the bosses tend to have a certain trick to beating them. There are multiple characters to play as and the game just oozes charm.
...
And that's not even the main game technically.

$20 is a fine price (or $18 if you get it now, that's 90% base price!).
If you think it's so overpriced then just wait for a price drop/sale.

At least it isn't yet another FPS.

Fixed. Therein lies the problem. Children who don't understand the proper value of money.

I'll just say this. If $20 seems like too much for you for this game, it's probably not for you.

20USD isn't so much too much for this game: 60 euro's simply is a lot of money. Granted value for money it may not be very high (gaming, depending on how you do it actually isn;t that expensive compared to a lot of other pass times). Regardless though 20USD (13,50 in euro stores) isn't that much but still more then I currently have lying around to just spend (already bought way too much other stuf

) which is why I am probably going to buy it together with a mate of mine

. So now eagerly waiting for the release in 4 hours ^^.

for all you pirates, the game has been leaked/dumped.
i'll be pirating it until I have some spare cash.

Unfortunately that's the route I have to take since paypal takes forever to transfer funds from a canadian bank account to a paypal account.
and Steam is retarded and doesn't accept anything but credit card payments through paypal, or funds from paypal.
Not even instant transfers.

So i'll be buying this in a few days. Woot.

EDIT: Fixes.

They have debts to pay off. Debts they wouldn't have if it weren't for localising this game. It has nothing to do with the quality of the game, it has something to do with them not wanting to starve. Not to mention the fact that some of the price is going to the original developers iirc.

edit: troll harder

They're charging the same price as the game was sold in Japan...well, actually cheaper with exchange rates if I recall. Even cheaper with the pre-order discount.
Most of it is going to the devs too.

Now that I've played it a bit, I can say it was a good use of the money. The game's way harder than I thought it'd be, but it's nice to have some challenge in this day and age. Capitalism, ho!

My reply to an idiot

Learn what a troll is.
Suck less.

Also if you didn't catch this either, i've been here the whole time saying this game is worth at least $20.

People need to stop trying to act tough on the internet by throwing the word troll out, and try using their brains a little more instead.
Read if you want to.

I agree SylvWolf. I started out doing pretty darn good. But I hit a few...snags. I don't just save every 10 seconds and restart if something goes wrong (I screw up a bunch of sales in a session, I die in a dungeon, stuff like that). So I almost got screwed trying to get the 80k deadline.
I'm sitting at 85k at the end of the 22nd day. So if the debt after this one scales like the last...i'm totally screwed unless I get lucky.

The game sure has a surprising amount of content stuffed into it though. The demo made the game look pretty big, but the full version is just...holy crap.
So much more then I expected.
