don't do that, it would ruin the only semi-decent planet in this solar system.I vote we send the Jersey Shore cast to Mars... NOW.
Send them to Venus instead. It'll be the hottest show on TV!I vote we send the Jersey Shore cast to Mars... NOW.

No I didn't could you please explain? (sarcasm)
Not trying to be an asshole.
Interesting article ... if it's true.
I think a lunar colony would be a whole lot cheaper but maybe they're worried about people being able to get away
The hole idea of being the among the first of a small group living on another planet where (as the article states) you will never come back and living the rest of your life where everything you do in your house is broadcast over the Internet back on Earth for a price ... doesn't sound all that appealing to me. I'm sure there are some people excited enough about space travel, though to actually consider something like that. Kinda reminds me of commercials I've seen for Terra Nova.
Also, how's the government supposed to work here? Cops are all employees of "the Corporation" that funds the project? What happens if some psychopath gets a bording pass? Come to think of it, on the other hand, if no one wants to go WILLINGLY, maybe they could colonize it the same way they did with Australia
I can see a video game coming of this.Space police. Glocks firing in space.
IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES, DUDE.
I can see a video game coming of this.
Firearms in space. Kinda reminds me of Firefly/Serenity.
They've gotta be like air marshals, though, with special bullets. You don't want them shooting holes in those expensive space colony walls
And each week a contestant will be voted out of the base habitat and booted out the airlock. To pay for all of this, Mars One says it will stage a media spectacle the likes of which the world has never seen — a sort of interplanetary reality show a la "Big Brother."
