Hacking [Realease] ReiNand Cfw

Can I boot on Sysnand even if I have Emunand? I'd rather do that so I don't have to install all my GBA games on both sys and emu. It's bad enough that I have to change ROPs all the time from GW to RN. LOL

Yes! Agree. It's already a pain in the ass to switch rop 's everytime, plus it's a waste of unneeded space having gba games installed in both nands. Please add boot in sysnand.

That was the plan, but i work 40 hrs a week when im not doing this shit, so it's hard to get things done, lol. I'll work on that today I guess.

The real answer is: few hours before reinand open sourcing. Me and AHP_person worked on it, without even touching or copying from reinand (as it wasn't released yet).

Also, ReiNand is now licensed under GPLv3, so for anyone using it's code, please update accordingly.

So, what is on the list of stuff to fix up soon? I personally still have not compiled the latest 2.0 Ver. Was planning on waiting till you get a little more ironed out before I jump over. When I updated to your previous release from the test build I am on, got some weird issues and lost all my save games.

There should be no issues though, the source code was done completely from scratch and is so bare bones that its almost impossible for there to be any kind of bugs. So in short, I'd be suprised if you found a legitimate bug in this. Its a minimalist CFW after all. That being said, I didnt want to add crypto libs because i wanted it to be minimal, but idk.. people are begging for sysnand and whatever, so i'll get on that I guess.. But first I want to play around with getting skater working.. a browser exploit for n3ds would be ideal for those that dont have CN or anything of that nature.

I like nice and simple with addons. Agree with your approach there. The browser exploit will have to be a core part of the CFW to get that to work I am sure. If it causes trouble, leave it out. But there is quite a benefit to having that there.
The CN exploit is nice for those of us that have it. For the ones that don't, skater is 2nd best. Also, what if you happen to lose your copy of CN or leave it at home? The browser will definitely be nice as a backup.

No, I'll look into 9.x browsers.. only one that requires downgrade is MSET for my cfw.

That still leaves 16 hours a day to work on 3DS stuff!

Seriously though, I think some people forget (or don't care) that devs have a life outside of coding.

A skater exploit would be an awesome contribution to the 3DS scene. One that everyone would benefit from. Good luck!

Exactly. Developers are not some magical beings with God-like programming abilities. They are still Hoomans after all. LoL

I am trying to learn some programming myself, as I am interested in android dev. I know a few things here and there. Learning python is my next step.
Hard for me to sit at a computer screen all day. I am a very physical "hands on" type of person.
When something decides to not co-operate or refuses to work, I take my nice framing hammer to it.
If only coding was on a physical level... the s*** I could compile!!! LMAO

I should thank you for providing b1l1s with the 9.2.0 addresses, as with both of your help, I've been able to boot a CFW with 9.2.0 firm to launch and use Ninjhax through a CIA !

I didnt want to rush you Rei. i know what it feels when you work all day all week and then came back home and start to work again, even if it's a hobby. Sometimes could be frustrating too. take your time, i was only saying that sysnand boot it's a must have nowadays in a CFW. thank you.

It's true, but i dont know why for whatever reason i cannot play my gba games in (unlinked) sysnand mode. either cake or rei, i need to have installed in both nands and boot in patched(of course) emunand in order to get em working.

Its not a bad agb_firm install, or a bad gba vc .cia,as they're working in emunand. I dont know what i'm doing wrong, as some users state that they can play gba games installed only in sysnand.

You can already use a downgraded MSET to launch reiNAND.

Unless you're talking about doing it from the native 9.x settings. In that case, never. The MSET exploit was patched from 7.0 onwards.
