hmmmm i don't see the'the point of uising it if the game still asks you for updating and yyou lose all kind of hombrew and cfw

Firmlaunch allows lower firmware consoles to reboot into higher firmwares. That allows the exploits to remain while also allowing newer software to run, that otherwise won't run on the exploitable firmwares. The updates you need to play games online, are game-specific updates. They do not affect your console, they are patches that are applied when your game starts. As they are required to play online, you must use a combination of Firmlaunch and an eShop activator so you can download and run those patches. As a result, there is no current need to update the console, as you can play all released games as-is. Until a game releases that requires FW 9.6.0 to even boot, you will not have trouble running any games in the 3DS/N3DS library through CFW on your N3DS.

If your firmLaunch wasn't working you wouldn't had passed the nintendo 3ds screen after trying to boot the game. You only needed the update :/

Well, in fact, it didn't let me start the game. The window saying that 9.5 fw is required to play the game was still appearing. I tried several times so thath got me confused

Backup all the data from the sd card to pc then format emunand with gateway menu, copy data back to sd card? Only way i can think of really.

Only emunand really (this has it, pasta doesn't). that's about it i think at the moment.

No, 9.8 is only old3ds, only up to 9.5 on n3ds.

Yeah it doesn't say, but it does. Tested it myself. And yeah gateway emunand works, so i guess do it that way if you don't already have it set up.

Is there any way to update the emuNAND to 9.5? I guess there's really no point since no eShop but w/e
