Hacking Real-time on/off enable(B)

I'm at a loss here. Animal Crossing: Wild World (v.1.1) cheats aren't working, not new to the R4DS scene or Action Replay for that matter, but why does it keep freezing after codes are input? I read somewhere that activating the cheats in-game using RTC works just fine, but how do I even do that?! I've tried EVERYTHING. Someone just please tell me how to do that?!

Just give up, the codes don't work (properly) and no one wanted to test a code for me, so it's a lost cause.

Hey man, thank you SO MUCH. And I'd be honored to test a code for you; my main AC:WW game is on an actual cart, so if this game gets ruined, I could care less. I'll give you my email if interested.

uh, last time I checked it was L+R+Start, not select.

yeah. select is for the backlight codes, and they don't work if they're turned on at the same time.

The code that was supposed to fix the AC:WW 1.1 cheats. But no one wanted to test it so I figured no one was interested.
