Hello, I wanted to know if it's possible to emulate RTC on ds games running on a flashcart, more specifically the 2018 gold r4i sdhc. All threads I've found say no but they were really outdated (2012) and wanted to know if it's possible in this time

Thank you

The flashcards don't need to emulate RTC like they do on the Gameboy Color or GBA as the clock is built into the system itself and not into the cartridges

So is it not possible to experience the real time events of a game when played in a flashcart?

I get it, so it must be a problem on my part then. I tried playing Pokemon Platinum and it was stuck on day time the entire time. Why is this happening? I made sure the system's clock was set correctly and all

That's odd. I'm fairly certain those games worked fine for me.

It definitely works, I never had any problems with the RTC. Did you accidentally enable a cheat code that locks the time of day in Pokemon Platinum?

Confirmed to work. Confirmed I'm dumb. Confirmed I had set time thinking it was AM/PM system, so I thought 8:00 -> 20:00.
