Hacking ReadMore and M3 Real

I have this awesome ebook reader called ReadMore. It i special because you hold the DS on its side to read ebooks, like a real book. I found it awhile back, and it worked perfectly on my R4. On my M3 however, it works fine, but the light of the DS's top screen light goes out whenever I boot it, making it nearly impossible to read the text on my DS Lite.

Can anyone think of a potential solution? Or for that fact, does anyone know of another ebook reader that you hold the DS sideways (Brain Age style) to use?

the built in ebook reader lets you have the screen like that. try out the option in it, lots of screen layouts, text size, fonts etc.
