Hi,

I have the PAL RE4 disc and use a Panasonic widescreen TV
When I set my WII on 50Hz (and off course 16:9) I have a green line on the bottom of my screen (very irritating).
When I set my WII on 60bz (480) it's gone.

I never noticed a green line on other games in 50Hz mode......

Its there bicuss the game doesnt support 50hz(576i) correctly.

edit: Screen position also matters ofcourse. In heavy overscan it cant be seen. Metroid Prime is a good example of GC game not supporting 50hz, also has this green line. Whats the deal, if your set works in 480i or p you should be fine, right? It seems that 576i isnt a reguirment anymore in PAL-game releases, but better that way than forced 50hz, like some of the Wii games, bicuss in most of these cases p-scan doesnt work either(Splinter Cell: DA for example doesnt work in 480i, dont know about p-scan)

I always play it on 50hz and I don't have a green line, I tried it on 2 tv's (1 widescreen, 1 "normal" screen) and I don't see any green lines. A friend of mine however also had the green line when he played gamecube games which didn't support 50hz (so the games that put it in 60hz mode).

Now I am at loss here :-)

So I have a PAL game which should be 50Hz /576p compatible......but -in my setup- obviously isn't...hence the green line at the bottom.
I have to manually set my wii to 60Hz/480p (lesser quality?) to avoid it.

Something Gamecube games also had problems with? I would have believed Nintendo would have solved that problem.

I also have a PS2 playing both NTSC (60hz) and PAL (50Hz) games but never had the green line problem...I also play NTSC and PAL DVD's...no green line...... so this sucks!!!! (although it's not the end of the world :-) )
