Aaron & Tueidj (and others less involved) did an amazing job with Rawk3. Purgartorio by Shadow Cast (charted by Inim) http://rawksd.japaneatahand.com/wiki/Customs/Purgatorio is the best custom and right up there for the funnest Rock Band song to play on any instrument.

I can't wait to see some competition on the Rawk Leaderboard. I'm hugely competitive and seeing some new high score will get me into playing more.

Yay stuff!

I urge all guitar and bass aficionados to suffer through my shamelessly self-plugged custom Space Opera by Aram Bedrosian. It's a bass solo song which sounds magical, and is impossible to combo.

Everyone should also play Inim's Flames of Revenge chart because Rhapsody is fucking awesome and Inim's a great charter.

Now that Rawk3 is open to all, you fools have no excuse not to add to the growing pool of full-band customs. Let's give RawkSD a purpose and community it deserves.

Just tried out Rawk3 and I only installed RB1 to give it a try and none of the songs show up. I select "play" from the Rawk3 app, and I get nothing. I am loading from Usb.

Nothing? Strange...It should say "please insert your disk". You obviously haven't followed this thread, as it is mentioned LOTS of times that rawkSD doesn't support loading from USB.

Wait. I thought one of the big reasons for RAWKsd 3 was to have usb hard drive support. I went back a few pages to the point of when Rawk3 was released and I see nothing about it not working with usb support.
Anywho. I load from an sd card, and I get the same results.

I do have the original rockband 2 disc.
Maybe I am not being very clear.

1. I imported the songs from RB1 with the PC app to folder on my Usb hard drive called "rawk"
2. I unplug my hard drive from my computer, and plug it into my Wii.
3. I turn Wii on, and put in my 100% grade A NTSC Rock Band 2 disc.
4. I load homebrew, select the Rawk3 app, and select from the device option "USB"
5. I wait for game to load, which it does fine but not one of my customs show up.

It sounds like you aren't generating the files that RB2 needs (the bin files in drive:/private/wii/data/cRBA). After importing into the PC app you need to:
-File -> Open SD Card, select USB drive's root,
-Right-click your files and Install -> SD Card.

Songs installed to the active 'SD card'/folder will have the RawkSD logo in the Availability column.

If you don't change the active 'SD Card' then the PC app will use the 'rawksd' folder by default. The active 'SD card'/folder is also useful for RiiFS/WiFi streaming, or you can copy the contents of this folder to your USB drive (drive:/private/wii/data/cRBA and drive:/rawk/rb2) if you prefer to organise your content that way.

I don't know if it's possible, but once you have RawkSD (which is awesome) set up, it there any way that you could have a forwarder channel that would launch the game directly, so you didn't have to go through the menu every time, when you aren't changing anything?

Thanks

Well, so long as we're self-plugging:
My brother made a pretty difficult guitar solo that should be a challenge for a few of you guys;
Anyone who likes electronica should enjoy Invaders Must Die, a song I found from the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack;
Any true fan of rock should enjoy Chevelle's "Jars";
Mrkinator and I collaborated on a humorous, albeit embarassing, rap song (with master tracks), the Crap Rap;
A song from the Expendables OST (no vocals or animations for this one, sorry), Diamond Eyes by Shinedown, which I find to be a fun play on guitar;
A favorite of mine from a long time ago, that has oddly never made it to a music game, Love and Memories by O.A.R.
The End (Lyrics for Monday), my very first custom.

Those are all of my customs; a few have already been mentioned that I also highly reccomend. Here are some more that I play frequently:

Trololo! Come on, you know you want to.
When Worlds Collide! THPS2 anyone?
Riddle Me This by Anarchy Club - If you like Get Clean you will love this!
Pokemon! Oh, come on, you know you've always wanted to sing this.
This one's just funny - Panty Raid.
IMO qwertymod's best - Islamatic, Problamatic.

Please, please play these. We know you all have the space now, and all charters appreciate it when people play their work.

Enjoy them all, and don't forget, there are even more on the wiki!

5-starring Trololo/I Am Glad Cause I'm Finally Returning Back Home is a true test of vox mastery.

I would love to chart more Moon Bounce full-band customs, except we can't find a consistent vocalist and school is a drag. Shame, there are some good jams.

Rawk Band 2 is better than RB3. La la la, I can't hear you over the sound of my 5,000 songs.
How can you have 5,000 songs if it does not support pirated DLC?

Anyways, congrats to the devss, lets hope 4.0 support RB3

Even if there was support for pirated DLC you still wouldn't have 5000 songs. The only way you are getting 5000 songs is if you got that many custom songs and rips from frets on fire, which I doubt.

Either way though, I got to thank the devs for allllllll their hard work.

I just wish I had a faster computer because it is taking forever to rip all my songs from all the other guitar hero/rock band games and install them on my USB drive.

Any tips to speed up the process? Oh and does RawkSD support NTFS drives or just FAT32 drives? If it does support NTFS drives how would that work if the NTFS drive is not the first partition?

I did all this and I still have the same problem. This is kinda sucking

If you have a faster computer, you can set the amount of songs RawkSD takes care of at one time. I think the default is one; I've got mine running at about... eight conversions at a time?

Set number of Concurrent Threads in the Preferences. I think the ideal would be to set it to the number of cores your processor has, using fewer takes longer and using more means the extra threads will bottleneck and wait. Oh, and do it before starting a conversion job so it can divvy up the songs evenly among the threads.
