You can drag and drop from SD to HDD.

Also, this is not "nand emulator" you all know. This is as close as RB2 would be with, let's say, SDHC support.

Well I for one can't wait for 3.0 to come about.
I can't get the 2.02 version to import any rockband game. Works great on Guitar Hero games. But, not Rock Band.
Was told to sign in as administrator to get this to work. Unless it means Admin on my computer, I don't know what it is talking about.

All imports works very well for me.
They means "Open as Administrator" will work. But this is only on Windows Vista or Seven
And if you can import GH songs, maybe your Rockband iso file is bad...

Hot damn! That worked. Thanks so much.

Just trying to import GH2 and on several songs the installer just crashes and doesn't process them. The songs that create the crash (So far) are:

Is this a known issue? or have I got a bad iso, being dumb etc... I'm using v2.02 (Which I presume is the most current version) any help would be gratefully received.

An actual legit problem! Yes, this is a known issue. There was a newer version of rawkaudio.dll that we posted in the IRC channel, but unfortunately it's slipped down the back of the internet couch somewhere and no-one can find it. When I get time to make a new copy I'll let you know.

If I import songs from ghwt and gh5 how does the drums charts will look like (will I only have 4 buttons on the game?)If I recall correctly, any orange hits are mapped to blue. Overdrive fill sections are automatically added. The long "drumroll" notes of GHWT and later are converted to a string of notes (1/8's, 16ths, etc. depending on difficulty).

QUOTE(zero.echelon @ Dec 18 2009, 04:18 PM) This audio dll makes better some other things?
Or is just for GHII importing?
It fixes most of the crashes on GH2 and other GH games. It also improves the quality on songs that were previously poorly encoded (some of the Guitar Hero songs may sound crummy using the old rawkaudio.dll). tueidj knows the full details.

i've sent a PM to AerialX about drum mapping for GH charts.

The odd thing is that orange hits in GH are for the crash cymbals, but when they're mapped using RawkSD they become blue, which is the tom i believe on RB2. It might be better to add an option to map orange to green, since green is the crash for RB2.

Actually, it can vary. For example, in Aqualung, the blue is also used for the ride cymbal. In Drain You, the green is used for the tom and blue is used for the crash. It's all because the Rock Band drums can change what pad is which as opposed to Guitar Hero who have confined themselves to specific uses of each pad.

Hey, I love the progress that is being made on this new version of RawkSD or should I say RawkUSB, but I have a small suggestion for when the new version is released. I know that in RB2 there is some songs that are also in GHWT. Would it be possible for either this program or a program separate of this to know all songs available in RB2 as is and available for purchase as DLC that way we can avoid multiple copies of the same song in the same game. (I mean some people may want all versions of the same song but me personally I do not).

Also in GH3 you had TTFAF but only on Guitar. The song was remade for GHSH as a full band song. Could this program also account for these songs as well.

If I may though if it helps this doesn't even have to be a program it could just be a list.

I actually just did this the other day out of boredom / curiosity. The listed songs are already in RB2, RB2 DLC, or a couple of them are in Lego Rock Band, but I'd personally choose the LRB versions over the BH versions because of what I presume would be more direct importing with less converting necessary. Feel free to reproduce this on the Wiki if you want.

Band Hero- ABC, Bad Reputation, Bring Me to Life, Dirty Little Secret, Don't Speak, Hands Down, Just a Girl, Kung Fu Fighting, Let's Dance, Lifeline, Naive, Ocean Avenue, Oh Pretty Woman, Our Lips are Sealed, Rio, Take Back the City, Walking on Sunshine.
GH: Van Halen- Best of You, I Want It All, Master Exploder, Painkiller, Pretty Fly (For a White Guy), Sick Sick Sick, Space Truckin, White Wedding.
GH: Metallica- Ace of Spades, Battery, Boys are Back in Town, Enter Sandman, No Excuses, Toxicity.
GH5- 2 Minutes to Midnight, A-Punk, Ex-Girlfriend, Feel Good Inc, Hungry Like the Wolf, Jailbreak, Kryptonite, Medicate, Nearly Lost You, The Rock Show, Runnin' Down a Dream, Sex on Fire, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Song 2, Steady As She Goes, They Say, Under Pressure, Wolf Like Me, You Give Love A Bad Name.
GH: Smash Hits- Carry On Wayward Son, Electric Eye, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Killer Queen, Laid to Rest, Message in a Bottle, Miss Murder, Monkey Wrench, More than a Feeling, Round and Round, Take Me Out, The Trooper, Woman, YYZ.
GH: World Tour- American Woman, Are You Gonna Go My Way, BYOB, Dammit, Everlong, Eye of the Tiger, Feel the Pain, Float On, Go Your Own Way, Heartbreaker, Hot for Teacher, The Joker, The Kill, Lazy Eye, Livin On a Prayer, Love Spreads, The Middle, Monsoon, Mountain Song, One Way Or Another, Our Truth, Ramblin Man, Re-Education (Through Labor), Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast), Satch Boogie, Spiderwebs, Today, Weapon of Choice.
Rock Band- Dirty Little Secret, Don't Look Back in Anger, Roam, Rockaway Beach, Roxanne, Run to the Hills, Tom Sawyer.

So I'll have to import all my GH games again!?
Is there any other way to get this without importing again?

You don't HAVE to re-import them. But it's the price you pay if you want better quality.

xD so I HAVE to, because I love quality xD
Better i'll wait for RawkSD 3.0 to be released, and then import the gh games again using it

So *basically*, I will have to re-download each of my songs one by one, and then move them onto my SD card somehow, then my HDD somehow? I assume there will be instructions for n00bs like me?

If you've already downloaded them, then aren't they already on your SD card? Check under private/wii/DATA/. There will be folders named SZAE, SZBE, SZCE, and SZDE depending on what DLC you've downloaded, each containing several .bin files. If all of your DLC is stored on your NAND for some reason, then you can simply move it over in the Wii Data Management menu, or start Rock Band 2 and enable SD card mode and it will copy them over.

The idea is that you will be able to copy these data folders over to your hard drive and RawkSD 3.0 will recognize them as if they were on your SD card.

Quick question: First, I understand that I can't run RB2 off a USB loader or anything like that. I'm using a retail disc in the normal disc channel and I'm fine with that. I recently installed USB Loader GX using this guide. I haven't tried to play RB2 since then. I've been using RawkSD (1.x, I think). I don't fully understand everything it did about IOSes and such so... Should I expect the steps I took to install USB Loader GX interfere with RawkSD or my purchased DLC? Or can I just boot RB2 (again, a retail disc launched from the disc channel) and expect all my DLC and RawkSD imports to be exactly as they were before?

If it did mess them up, can I just go through the normal steps to install RawkSD like new without interfering with USB Loader GX or is there anything special I need to do? I didn't want to boot RB2 until I knew if it was screwed up because I was afraid of corrupting my save file or something like that.
