looks like Gen 6 is the rock band 2 and green day imports then? did you get an unlock wad for that gen?

i haven't got DLC working very well with nand emulation/uloader, managed to get it to work with about 3 or 4 songs but after i added a few more it crashed. Not tried with uneek, but you cant use instruments from what i've heard so not much point..

since there's a 1000 song limit anyway, i might just buy a 32gb sdhc card

How'd you guys get the DLC to work? Same set up as before? My game always freezes on the screen that says "Press + Button" :/ I don't really mind Rawk customs not working, since I'm too lazy to use the App to make them. Any help getting my DLC working would be appreciated though

Hey Waffleman,
Like what marcd2009 said earlier, use SD/SDHC to play the DLC.
Uloader - cannot use nand emulation.
Uneek - cannot use mic, .... etc

Only requirement is boot the game with 249 rev20 with 56 base. Your SDHC will be detected. You can goto the music store to d/l the free doors songs and the DLC you already "Purchased".

Mm... Thats what I thought, though I only have one SDHC card, which I use for music with my DSi, but I hopefully will be getting an iPod of some sort soon so, I suppose I'll just format it :/

i just figured out how to make dlc unlock wads and made one for gen 6. Can't post it here but it's not too hard to make yourself. Not sure if the mods will let me give instructions or not, will wait to hear back before i post anything

question though, if you have to use ios56 on 249 to run it, how do you use it with uloader as that can only use ios 222/223/224? I tried using usb loader gx on 249 but that brought back the old problem where dlc never gets deleted from the nand after copying to the sd.

edit: seem to have fixed the nand issue now..

hey has anyone got an SDHC card to work properly with ULoader? For some reason the program runs really slowly when i have an SDHC instead of an SD in the Wii SD Slot. What allocation size does the wii like best for SDHC cards? I set mine to 32k because it was faster copying files to it in Windows

use regular sd cards for uloader, seems to be the only way i could get it going, switch when you are ready to load the game

I'm trying to play RB1 and some custom songs using Uloader in my USB-Nand where I put my DLC .
I was able to perform every step of the process with success except for one:

Close RawkSD3 beta and open RawkSD 2
Click Customs->Update SD Save. You can close RawkSD now.

When I click "Update SD Save" it says: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and try to continue (...)"

When I click continue, no modifications are made to the "data" file.

I proceeded with all other steps but the customs doesn't show up in RB2.

If someone could help me somehow, I'd be very glad.

does uloader still take like 10 minutes to start the game?

Uloader has never taken that long to start a game and i've been using it since release! (although i might not remember due to it being so long ago

)

this is the only USB Loader i use and it never fails me, only twilight princess... DAMN IT

dont mean to go off topic here but:
it boots, but doesnt get past the enter name and horse name, freezes when you try to start the game

any ideas anyone? been searching for a while but no luck

You need to run RswkSD (V2.0x) at least once in your Wii with a custom song. After clicking the "install" button in the RawkSD apps the ticket will be created. You can then extract the 63524241.tik using FSToolbox.

you could use regular sneek and then burn rb3 to a disc load it in sneek and play from softchipr102

I am experiencing a similar issue related to post 111 made by @BobZhome in this thread.
I hex edit the rawkswf.conf file accordingly as the instructions state. Yet when I install the songs to the SDPC folder the way the instructions state, I end up still getting a cRBA and a sZAE folder. The cRBA has all the right files in it, but the sZAE only has the 000.bin file.
I am using RawkSD3B4 for the installing of the songs. I have songs ripped from Rock Band 1, GH:WoR, GH:Van Halen, GH:Metallica, GH:WT, GH:Smash Hits, and GH5. I wanted to see if anybody else experienced something like this with similar setup.

FYI, I used a program called Replace Pioneer that batch edits binary files. I used it to batch replace the /cRBA/ with /sZXE/ in the data files for each songs folder under SDPC\rawk\rb2\customs. This is how I am having to do the old method of instructions. This makes it A TON easier than doing 242 songs data files one by one in a simple hex editor. I plan on trying to see if I can still go from here and get this to work. I read this whole thread from start to finish and have improvised so far using alternate tools and methods people have said to try that the first post instructions do not say to do. I'll post if this works in the end for me though. I think it will, considering that @BobZhome in post 113 did that and it worked.

@MRG, you need to patch IOS 37 with version v3869 with all patches and nothing higher than that or it will not work. This applies to RawkSD2 app only. Use an app like DOP-Mii to patch IOS 37, but you have to get it from their Google code site and NOT the Wii-Brew version.

It seems DLC packer/unpacker tools will not work for me at all anymore for this. It reads zero bytes from each bin file even though it is clearly in Windows showing megs of data for each file. I get a strand of app files all of the same 192kb size. I am so confused as to why this is happening. I swear I've used the tools before and they worked, now they don't. Anybody's input would be great.
