I recently purchased a new computer and below are the specs

-CPU: The "6th Generation" 14nm Intel Skylake i5 6500 3.2Ghz Quad Core

-MB: GIGABYTE GA-H110M-S2H INTELH110 DDR4 mATX LGA1151

-RAM: Crucial DDR4 PC17000/2133MHz CL15 8GB CT8G4DFD8213

-HDD: Seagate 1TB SATA3 high performance hard drive, 7200RPM 64 MB Cache , 6.0 Gb/s --> Double SATA2 's bandwidth

-VGA: Geforce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5 OC edition, DVI&HDMI&Display Ports, DX12 Ready

-Case: Zalman R1 Super Solid Gaming Case with Fans Speed Controller, Window. 3 Cooling fans

-PSU: FSP Hyper 500W, Black Color, Single Rail Design, high efficiency, 12cm super quiet cooling fan, Active PFC, Super Stable

-Sound Adapter: Integrated High Definition Audio 8-channel

-Lan: integrated Ethernet (10/100/1000) controllers

-Optical: LG 24X Double Layer SATA DVDRW.

-USB: 9 ( 2 USB 2.0 & 1 USB 3.0 in the front, 2 USB 2.0 & 2 rear USB3.0 at the back )

Your cutting it super close with that PSU get a better brand as well like corsair, cooler master, EVGA, or rosewill and increase the wattage with a gold standard. Other than that its a solid build though I would get 1-2 250GB SSD's one for OS and both for program installs and a single 2 TB drive for media.

PSU has done fine so far? Been watching Youtube videos alot and gaming full graphics, The place I got it from had it as the default PSU I just changed some parts and paid the build cost

I built my last one about a year ago and I just don't have the budget to build another for a while. But I am envious of you. Hey, I love you, man! With an i5, I'd have gone with a Z170 mobo instead of a H110.

I would add a small SSD for your OS and some Programms like Office.
No Idea what NZD are worth but seems sounds very expensive you don't even add an I7 or a GTX 980 ...

About $1000US, and in my opinion, ooh, probably just about worth the money for that rig....
Shopping around, or better still getting your own parts and building yourself, and I reckon he'd have saved a bit, or at least got some better parts for the same outlay - for instance you can get a Geforce GTX 780 for roughly the same price as a 960 with some shopping around (here in the UK at least) - I know which one I'd get out of those two!
Really though, decent value for a decent mid-range rig! If you can find a small SSD for the $80 you have left to put the OS etc on, like has been said earlier, then you'll feel the difference!

Your PSU's fine. The Gold standard ones would be a bit of a rip for that build, a 520w bronze would've been a slightly better choice though.
