Lemme cut to the the chase:
Symptoms:

RPi's microSD card won't read (and thus cannot boot)
microSD card gets REALLY HOT when plugged into a PC
Formatting doesn't work (card is corrupt)
microSD card looks BENT?

Specs:

microSD card: SanDisk Ultra, 32GB, microSD HC, UHS-I, Class 10
Operating System: Retropie + Raspbian (PIXEL)
Raspberry Pi: Raspberry Pi 3 Model B v1.2

Why is this happening?
