Hey guys,

Raptr just went onto Open Beta this past Monday. Just signed up today, and i'm enjoying the hell out of it!

Take X-fire (if you don't know it, doesn't matter) and associate it with EVERYTHING you play. PC/steam/wow/360/ps3.

http://www.raptr.com (yea, good ole motorola style... razr/pebl lol)

I'm on there as... *gasp* Wildwon!

Check it out. A nice sized GBA Temp group on there could be fun

Its a gamers network. It tracks your gaming (what you play, how long, any achievements you have) and broadcasts it to all your friends. (so they can jump in). Imagine Steam, but not just Steam games. Steam, WoW, Battlenet in general, 360 and PS3. Then you can find other players with similar interests, get games going (for any networked system), or find recomendation of other games to try out.

Follow? If not, go to raptr.com and take a look. I don't get shit for referring people to the site, i'm doing this cause i think it'd be cool.

I don't need a social network to organise a game.

Nah, its not really needed, but its fun to meet gamers w/ similar interests. I mean, if its not your bag, its not your bag. I think its a fun startup community.

QUOTE(CockroachMan @ Sep 12 2008, 12:26 PM) Interesting.. but how does it updates 360 and PS3 games!?

I don't know about PS3 (since i don't have one) but 360 is done through gamertag info. And any time you play a game (pc or console) a message is posted that you're playing it, so others can see and jump in (if you're doing multiplayer schtuff, of course).

I don't know about the ins-and-outs of this thing yet. As well, its only in Public Beta so i have no idea what'll come from it, but i think its a great startup idea. I'm very interested in seeing if this beast can blow up.
