Hacking Random crash on o3ds

I have a friend who has problems with his 3ds , it's an o3ds running a9lh with luma and he has problems installing games with FBI and free shop, in FBI the installation never finish and the free shop never initialize the cache , he did a console format and also changed to other sd card but the problems are still there and I don't know what else to do ( sorry for my bad English ) if you need more information let me know

Edit: aparently he reinstalled a9lh and now is working just fine

Yes, I could use some more info (Like what FW is the 3DS, what version luma + a9lh.)

Problems doesn't help. What is his fw, cfw version, stuff like that

the 3ds is updated to the latest version , luma 6.3.1 and used the arm9safeinstaller 2.0.3

So first of all, his Luma3DS version is out of date. Use this to update it, and see if it has fixed the problem.

Unlikely, It could be a dying SD card, bad luma/a9lh version, etc.

updating luma didn't solve it, he tried to download something from freeshop after updating and the download stopped like a minute after starting and the freeshop froze
