I guess you missed the point in my post. I was more worried when I saw that she had large breasts as I didn't want the game to fall back on that (it's been the downfall of many anime and video games). That was until I realized it was made by Atlus and this had nothing to worry about.

I'm really enjoying how strategic this game's combat is. I've won a few battles in a single turn by using Change to plot out the order of movements, then using Push and Right/Left Assault attacks to cram the enemies into one tile and blast them.

Magic is actually a good alternative to physical attacks in this game. Raynie's Lightning isn't that strong, but (at the point I'm at, which is the whole party at about lv 15) her Frost and Stocke's Fire are really powerful methods of attack. Rosch is awesome, too bad you don't get him in your party all the time.

is it important to read all the text boxes? i read all of them in the first 20 minutes and it's too much now to read and i've started skipping them all, its just too much concentration to read them all. is it crucial to read them? i think i already did all the tutorials btw

If you want to understand the story it's obviously important. I'm guessing you might miss some instructions as well, because I don't recall seeing a screen displaying the current objectives.

I ended up ordering this game from Amazon today for $29.99 + Free Super Saver Shipping. I'll definitely be getting the rom to add to my flashcart. Won't get around to playing it until I am finished with DQ VI. I love these old school looking RPG - the DS is so great.
