This is the R4 card I have, I have tired shit loads of firmware on it, the only one I could get to work was from a site called "r4new.com" which is now down.

Does anyone have the latest firmware from that site, or anything I can use to replace it?
The reason I want to update it is because Pokémon black/white gets stuck when attempting to load. (White screen.)

Format your micro sd card with Panasonic SD Formatter 3.1 (Google it, install it, and run it on your micro sd card) AFTER you back up your files. Then add your files once formatting is complete. If the game still doesn't start then Pong is correct. :D

Update: When I run pokémon in the "YSMenu.nds" it says "Error Unsupported DLDI Name".

What should I do?

I get this error when trying to run ANY .nds file in Ysmenu.

Pong, I'm thinking the card is not TTmenu based, so Retro's kernel is basically worthless in this case.

if you remember it works on the origional R4's aswell and M3's and supercards
id wouldnt load at all if it didnt work

FOUND THE DLDI

its in teh 1.50 firmware :D
under

_system/Resources

using same DLDI as R4DSPro

you have to rename it tho rarther than dldi.bin to dldi.dldi

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, my PC can't run most AAA games so i wont

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
