I posted in the R4 forums but i see others posting their problems here so I thought i'd do the same.

The main page advertises that it has slot 1 Nopass functionality but i can't seem to find it and google and searching here hasn't helped either

http://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=490 this is the card i picked. Is it not a feature anymore or did i miss something

The Nopass feature only works on a DS or DS lite. You are basically launching DS mode from a slot2 device. Due to the fact that most people will have a 3DS, this feature is a moot point being listed on something that tries to stay rellavent to someone getting this flashcart for a N/3DS or 2DS.

here's a workaround that most likely will work:
http://eng.supercard.sc/manual/dstwo/plugin.htm
download the SLOT2 NDS or\and SLOT2 GBA
only need to copy the .nds files (the others will be trash) and copy to a folder that you like
launch them like a game..

they should work...
other option is to flash the ds firmware and you will not require a DS cart to launch SLOT2 in NDS mode..

I have a DS normal, an old school one.though guess you're right. This is a flash cart thats marketed for working on 3ds, even though it works for all versions

Wait you can flash the DS firmware? Man im out of date for that. I'd like to look into doing that then later on, as this DS is not mine.

Also that worked! my m3 is in NDS mode! Thank you very much man, i've been searching for hours. I didn't think super card made one for that

DS had a upgradeable firmware, however in order to update it you would need to use a kiosk, only available at japan at thoose times...

the flashme website is gone... but thankfully to internet archive you can use their services to check the page and download the files:
https://web.archive.org/web/20150811222744/http://home.comcast.net/~olimar/flashme/

i flashed the AUTOBOOT to my ds lite. that way it only boots into NDS mode while pressing SELECT
as a bonus you get the annoying warning and safety screen removed!
BE Carefull when shortning the SL1 pins, when i did it i accidentally touched other contact and blowed up my DS's fuse..
also, if you stop the process (like the battery dying) you will get a brick...
if you disconnect the SL1 pin at the middle, just connect it again, it will continue the process as long as you don't accidentally shut the console down
