R4i timebomb fix

I have an R4 Dual-Core card underr4isdhc.com that I haven't used for a long time. I just bought a 2DS XL and tried to get it to work but it displayed the timebomb message ("Wrong date or firmware expired"). Aside from changing the date (which will definitely affect the internet connectivity of the device), my only other option is to use YSMenu but how do I get it to work?

Install RetroGameFan's YSMenu instead and not the crappy stock kernel that R4i-SDHC supplies. https://sanrax.github.io/flashcart-guides/cart-guides/r4i-sdhc/

My problem now is formatting the SD card, it can't be formatted even if it's readable, and when you delete a file, it comes back. As of now, I'm probably just gonna go with TwilightMenu on my 3DS SD card.

Try using Rufus and see if it formats that way

Huh weird make sure u downloaded the "rufus-4.9.exe" one. If you already did then follow this tutorial to fix the error. Hopefully it works

EDIT: Also if you do get it to work, heres how to format a SD card using Rufus (TUTORIAL). Make sure it's set to FAT32.

If you're using the micro SD card that came with the R4, throw it away and buy or use a different one.

They're known to be complete junk.
