Is there a way to code up your own source for the firmware for flashcarts? Or are they all closed-source and not really public?
Why I want to is so I can code in a downloader into a firmware to download roms a lot easier.

That isnt a real Wood R4 firmware afaik.
Does anyone know where to find the latest wood r4 sourcecode used by r4ids.cn?
It's at least the kernel wood r4 is based on.
The sourcecode for the latest wood r4 version 1.64 or anyrhing higher than 1.60 never got released.

It was open source until some old version (1.43 or 1.50 I very vaguely remember), of course it most likely was the version for the original R4

I think the change was actually due to YWG getting pissed at bad ports?

The bug tracker probably got filled with reports on cards that didn't have official support or something. Or he got paid by the r4ids.cn team and they didn't like the idea of open source software.

it is sad that google code archive page of woodrpg can't be opened.
I wonder if anyone cloned/imported repo it somewhere else?
