Hacking R43DS Gold Plus NTRBoot, what am I doing wrong?

I flipped the switch in the cart to N.
I put ntrboot/boot9strap_ntr.firm in the flashcart's SD
*I did NOT put the flasher as I believe it was stated it's not necessary with this switch.
I found the sweet spot with the magnet the cart came with (for me it was near Start/Select).

I put safeB9SInstaller on the console's SD card.
I press Start/Select/X/Power for several seconds from an off state with the magnet on the sweet spot.

Expected Result: Boot into safeB9SInstaller
Current Result: 1 second of blue power light, then system turns off entirely.

N3DS XL on 9.0.0-20U (Just unboxed a MM model)

Nothing on the flashcart's SD is read when it is in N mode. Everything has to be on the console's SD card.

I had since mirrored the same file/folder on the console's card. Same result.

But I just went with Soundhax to get it done quicker.
