Hacking R4 YSMenu Color problem

Just the other day, my genuine R4 started acting funny. My YSMenu is now black and white (no colors in the bottom or top screen). It was fine and colorful and then all of a sudden, no colors.

I tried re-downloading and re-compiling YSMenu/DSTT firmware and still the same problem. I also formatted my SD card using the SD Formatter with no luck.

I tried R4 v1.18 firmware and that works well...can't get YSMenu to work though.

Any ideas?
