Hacking R4 + Wood R4 : save problem

Hi
I have an r4ds.com R4 and i'm using Wood R4 as kernel

2 days ago, I put the USA version of Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney (only english) on my micro sd
and i got really through the game (2-3hours of gaming)
today, i have replaced the USA rom by a European one (for french)
And I have renamed the new file the same way as the old one so that it works with the save
But when i started the game : It is impossible to continue ! I can only start a new game

could you plz help me cuz i dont wanna spend 3 more hours doing again what i have already done

Iunno, I don't think you can interchange roms.
I mean, sometimes Jap > Eng works, but when I tried using an American sav on a Euro rom, it didn't turn out too well.
