again, I have no idea when it comes to this stuff....lol......so how do I update the r4's and why do I need to do this? their ds's seem to be working fine....except for my son's, every now and then his DS wont recognise the r4 and he has to switch it off and on again a few times.....is this an issue?

As far as the other brands/types go...do they work in the same way and would I be able to drag and drop the files (games/music/movies) that are on my puter already to these new ones? I know this is prob basic stuff but I'm just a mum who happened to stumble across them for my kids! Thanks for the help!!!
