Hacking r4 SDHC Gold Pro - Freezes with pkmn black and white 2 on start screen.

Hello,

When i try to load black 2 or white 2 it starts fine, shows the intro movie but when you get to the title screen where you need to press start to continu it stays black, and the music sounds corrupted.

Ive tried the same rom on my other r4 (different one) and it works perfectly fine.

Any idea how to fix this?

It runs YSmenu.

Maybe a fake or faulty one. As far as i can remember, r4i gold pro don't look like this one. I might be wrong though.

Iirc, the DS-Scene Rom Tool does just that.

Not really "fake". Multiple cards use this name.

Many people report issues with Pokemon when using YSMenu on r4isdhc.com cards. Retrogamefan fixed the AP measures but I think somehow it's not being applied properly here.

It depends on the version of YSMenu and/or the version of the AP patch.

I have that card and use the default kernel provided by r4isdhc.com and mine loads properly. So my guess is an issue with the kernel you are using (YSMenu).

Hey I know this post is very old, but I'm having the same problem with my pokemon white 2 version. It freezes on the start screen after some time. I have a R4i v4.5 3ds. I tried formatting SD and everything. still doesnt work. Please help

I guess the closest one that applies to me here would be random freezing. I have an "AP fix" cheat code on my R4 for Pokemon White 2, but that doesn't fix the freezing situation. I tried your earlier suggestion with the patching program and it still does the same. What should I do?

Drag-n-drop a clean ROM onto one of these .exe to patch once extracted. I'll be checking it myself in the meantime.

Whenever I try to drag and drop the clean ROM into any of the programs, it gives me the following error: I have the txt and the exe file in the same place, so there shouldn't be any problems with file misplacement...
