so im trying to flash ntr boot with r4 sdhc dual core 2017 but it says card setup failed is there any way to get cfw now with this card am i doing smth wrong ?

i'm not sure then. some say that the .com.cn does not work and is not supported. I also own a .com.cn so I am also interested

no it can't brick
That's not true a clone card 100% has a chance to brick when flashed. You need to determine that before you even try IMO or risk killing the card.

Quoted from the guide, "Note that in some rare circumstances, it may be possible for the flashing process to brick a counterfeit flashcart and render it permanently unusable. This is unlikely, but nevertheless only original listed flashcarts are supported. To reduce the chance of receiving a counterfeit card, it is recommended that you use a reputable site to buy your flashcart (such as NDS Card)"

Which is also why I tell people "clones" are NOT supported. Just because it MAY work doesn't mean it was meant to as it still carries a chance to brick your clone device.

Tho I think that saying "a clone card 100% has a chance to brick when flashed" is missleading, too. Normally nothing should happen to unsupported cards because the flasher has a security check.

No it's not has a chance is 100% correct. Even if that chance is less than 1% is still for a fact exists.

I didn't say that a clone would 100% brick, just that they 100% have a chance to.

Yes but the warning is there in case you're using a clone of a "working" card and it works (no errors) during flashing but also bricks. The warning isn't there for no reason.

Yeah I realised that but it can still be missleading to people who read the post when they are tired etc.

Ok? That's completely irrelevant. That same argument holds true to almost anything that requires critical thinking. Perhaps you shouldn't be doing stuff like this if you're tired etc? Look at the guide, people are selective in their reading anyway. If they don't read everything word for word and attempt to get the "gist" when dealing with things of a delicate nature; they deserve the consequences of their mistakes. Personal accountability.

Yeah but the 100% in the statement is totally useless. It adds nothing to what you said.
