I updated my nephews R4 with the Current version 1.33 Wood

He had the old version of 1.18..with his saves on it, Now I updated to R4 Wood the saves are gone, Is there a way to keep save files??

It happened to me on NSMB..I had world 8 done, I updated mine to the AKAIO 1.8 and I had to start over..

No, it's not

His Pokemon saves are not there....

I just Dragged & Drop the update in his card & kept on the ROM's on the card

I haven't deleted the sav file, it's still on the card...

The problem is when I updated his R4..his save file disapeared

This doesn't make sense. First you say:

So what is it? Are they on the card or not. My bet is they are on the card. As previous posters already attempted to tell you the name of the save file and what R4 Wood expects do not concur. Assuming the most likely scenario:

You have a game with "gamename.nds" and save file "gamename.sav". Out of the box Wood R4 expects to see "gamename.nds.sav". But here is also a setting in the Wood R4 options to change this to "gamename.sav". So you have 2 options. The first option is to rename your files from *.sav to *.nds.sav. Your second option it to change the Wood R4 save option to use the *.sav format instead of *.nds.sav. Whichever you prefer. *.nds.sav is preferred because that is what was used in the original Wood RPG software. Since it is unlikely you ever want to go back to the original R4 kernel either option is okay.
