Hacking R4 help?

i know how to work an R4, thats not the problem, the problem is that lately i have been putting on games and now it just stays at the loading screen and doesn't move... im not really that worried just aggravated. any help?

Ehr, try taking out the MicroSD and wiping the contacts (of the MicroSD) with a cloth then putting it back in. Usually fixes it for me.

Replce the _DS_MENU.DAT file with a fresh one.

what do you mean "a new one?" and why would that have anything to do with it?
