in what I consider to be absolutely rediculous fashion, I took a look at this installer (quiet night) and when I downloaded it, it was frigging RARed hahahahahahahahahah.

here is the full URL http://www.hotlinkfiles.com/files/630780_z...syInstaller.rar

You don't have to unzip it, just open the rar and click the exe file
It will automatically grab the required files
So that still makes it easier
Btw. i have tried to add all required files into the exe, but i couldn't find a way in visual basic

but then there are those who don't have WinRAR that are like "how do i open this rar file?"

Just thought I'd steal some thunder >.>

My R4 Easy installer:

R4Installer.exe

I'll call this version 0.5, as it does what it's supposed to do. However, I'd like to get around to:
Automagic install of Bug-fixed yasu firmware
More options
Back buttons

Features:

Single .exe - no reliance on RAR files!
Not written in VB - doesn't require 4(!) different dll/ocx files to run
Automagically downloads firmware from the internet (yay)
Small UI
Looks like a windows program
Works in Linux (lol)
Fast and easy.
Hit featured in credits (for the idea
tongue.gif
)
No Comic Sans

Drawbacks:

Untested on windows.
Please tell me if it does indeed work >.>
No back button (As of Yet)

Good idea with downloading the files
This way you dont have to include the files
Did my app ask for dll/ocx files actually?
Because i can include this but i thought the required ocx files where already included with windows
Where did you code yours in?

I coded mine in AutoIt v3

Yes, your app requires dll/ocx files if you don't have the visual basic runtimes installed (I didn't)

I just realised my program does have a dependency
ohmy.gif

It requires Internet Explorer 3 or greater to download files...
Maybe in the next version I'll remove that dependency alltogether

  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Like, Urusei Yatsura, I love the manga and the original anime.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
In the original rumiko takahashi works, nudity was common
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
i still havent read the manga. also surprisinly i like both the new and the old anime adaption.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Lum being topless and Ranma always topless when turning female wasn't sexual
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
also the old anime adaption of Urusei Yatsura had more fanservice than the manga
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
That's one of the issues I have with ecchi stuff recently, it focuses too much on the sexual aspect, not the comedy effect.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
The manga had it's fair share.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I mean, Lum was supposed to be a one time character
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
ecchi anime focusing too much at fanservice was always a thing
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Rumiko Takahashi got so much fan email about the character that she brought her back in the manga, it was going to be completely different originally (with the alien of the week type).
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
also i m a takahashi fan and i love ranma
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
There are different ways of fanservice
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
the first manga I bought, was Psychic Academy, when I was like 12?
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    That was good 2000s ecchi
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Great plot too
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
psychic academy. lol. it was meh even back then when i bought volume 1. also same author also made one of the manga adaptions of Escaflowne.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    Pfffft!
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    I have all the volumes.
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
    btw do u have discord?
  • Vetusomaru @ Vetusomaru:
last tv anime i remember with nipples i personally watched was Senran Kagura
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    yeah I do
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I mostly read, haven't watched much, but I do keep my cunchyroll sub.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Found out one of my fave animes got an adaptation this season

    the other day lol
