Hacking r4 ds v1.10 update

Awesome, i couldnt get a patched English 1.1 to work on my Chinese R4 to work. What did you use/do to make it work?

I used the patcher by iq_132 ( http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=53463 )
you just need to put the _DS_MENU.DAT of the english kernel in the same directory of the patcher, then you execute (in command line) patch.exe and you answer to the question.

If you are using linux, the patcher works well in ubuntu (or any others linux distributions), you just have to install wine and type "wine patch.exe"

well, i switched flash carts and ran zelda on CycloDS, which worked perfectly, so i lost my save file there

wait...now i'm really confused. So when i got on the boat the first time on my R4, it stuck. I tried 4-5 times, all stuck. so i moved my files to my cyclo and it worked. now, i beat the first dungeon, and NOW when i get on the boat on my CYCLO it freezes. i dont understand.

edit: okay now my cyclo won't load from the first sav anymore. nobody else is having this problem?

Personnally I have corrupted save file with Metroid Prime since 1.09

again...R4 team....stop messing around with all kinds of new features ... a 100% compatible R4 is your most important goal....the rest is nice to have

hmm, maybe cause i have a 2gig sandisk

well, all i know is that it works on 1.08 for me and not 1.10

I have an R4DS 1.10 with a 2GB Sandisk MicroSD card and a 1GB Kingston card.
Pokemon Diamond (U), Pearl(U), Zelda(J), Sim City(U&E) and everything else works fine.
Lameboy.NDS even works with Pokemon Gold 's Realtime clock!
snesDS 0.8 "sorta-almost" works.
I love my R4, but I would also like a slot 2 card for GBA games (including Pokemon clock).
I want .sav files I can exchange with VBA/BGB on PC.
I have looked at EZFlash 3-in-1. No clock, no usb. How can I transfer .sav files between it and PC?
For that matter, how do you transfer GBC ROM files from PC or R4 to EZFlash?
I would like to backup and restore saves between retail carts, flash carts and PC .sav files.
And I would like to do this for NDS, GBA and GBC games. Using a DS and a PC.
Any suggestions?

Pokemon Pearl works fine for me. Anno 1701 has worked perfect for me since 1.09, I had no problems with it.

A friend with an R4 told me about the following problems after going to 1.10:

I have R4 v1.10 installed and running on my DS. I
can't figure out how to change my skin, though. I
overwrote the 4 files in the _system_ menu, but the
image appearing is still the default image.

He fixed the above by deleting all the extra folders containing skins in the dir where the skins go.

That is strange because I am running firmware 1.09 and have been playing Anno 1701 with no freezes. I have a 1GB Kingston that was produced in Japan.
